It was an interesting episode that’s for sure! It’s tempting to ask if the story of the school kids and the teachers was a real story and what happened to them.
There is some mention of it in this thread , 15 years ago i was trying to verify the story with some elderly islanders and one granny remembered it was talked about when she was a teenager.
National Geographic issue of that year also mentioned it.
