Well, that would also be suggested by this transcript:

Q: (L) I was reading some of the transcripts earlier today. One of the things I read was about the Nephilim and their interactions with human beings and about other planets and molecularization, etc. Then, I was reading about the planet Kantek. Are there any human beings, on Earth, at the present time, who carry in them the Nephilim genes?
A: Yes.
[...]
Q: (L) Would these Nephilim genetics be passed down in the natural way, or would they be the result of genetic manipulation by genetically altering a fetus and then putting it back?
A: No to latter. One clue: double Y chromosomes.
Q: (W) That's male...
A: Nephalim were.
Q: (L) They, were male. Women are a double X, men are XY.
A: Prisons are filled with double Y's with monstrous personality disorders, almost always Caucasian and over-sized.
Q: (L) On TV they interviewed a serial killer. He was HUGE! He described killing. The shrink who was analyzing said he did it because he wanted to get caught. I did NOT get that feeling. I think he did it just because it was what he did. [...] Big. Caucasian. My, my, my. Is there any other clue you can give?
A: Nephalim are not currently on your world, just trace residuals.
Q: (L) Trace residuals in people. And there are supposed to be 36 million of them coming...
A: With the wave.

Kind of renders the term 'humanoid' obselete!

Robert Pershing Wadlow - 8 feet 11.1 inches (272cm)

Robert Pershing Wadlow (February 22, 1918 – July 15, 1940) was a man who, to this day, is the tallest person in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence. He is often known as the "Alton Giant" because of his Alton, Illinois hometown.

Robert Wadlow reached 8'11.1" (272 Cm) in height and weighed 490 pounds (220 kg) at his death. His great size and his continued growth in adulthood was due to hypertrophy of his pituitary gland which results in an abnormally high level of human growth hormone. He showed no indication of an end to his growth even at the time of his death.

Later years

Robert Wadlow's size began to take its toll: he required leg braces to walk, and had little feeling in his legs and feet. Despite these encounters, Robert Wadlow was never confined to a wheelchair. On June 27, 1940 (eighteen days before his death), he was measured at 8 feet 11.1 inches (2.72 m) by doctors C. M. Charles and Cyril MacBryde of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

In his time, Robert Wadlow was among the most popular of American celebrities; he obviously was well-known due to his 1936 U.S. tour with the Ringling Brothers Circus. He continued participating in various tours and public appearances.

Death

On July 4, 1940, while making a professional appearance at the National Forest Festival, a faulty brace irritated his ankle, causing a blister and subsequent infection. Doctors treated him with a blood transfusion and emergency surgery, but his condition worsened and on July 15, 1940, he died in his sleep. He was 22.

Sultan Kösen - 8 feet 3 inches (251.4 cm) Living as of today.

The 2010 edition of Guinness Book of World Records lists Sultan Kosen (born 10 December 1982) as the tallest living man as well as having the largest hands (11.22 inches) (28.5 centimeters) and largest feet (14.4 inches) (36.5 centimeters) when last measured on 8 February 2011.

According to Guinness, Sultan Kosen is the tallest living human reaching an average height of 8'1" (2,46.5 m) when measured by GWR in Ankara, Turkey, in February 2009. He takes over the title from China's Bao Xishun, who stands 'just' 2.36 metres (seven feet 8.95 inches). However, Sultan Kosen was still growing and at a more recent meeting with then tallest man of the U.S. George Bell, Sultan Kosen was measured at 8'2" tall.

On 8 February 2011 Sultan Kosen was measured in Ankara, Turkey at 8 feet 3 inches (251.4 cm). Source Guinness World Records.

Sultan Kosen was unable to complete his schooling because of his extreme height, but works occasionally as a farmer to support his family. Sultan Kosen has three brothers and a sister, who are all normal-sized, but his rate of growth surged from the age of 10 because of a tumour which caused too much growth hormone to be released from his pituitary gland. The tumour was successfully removed in surgery and he was thought to have stopped growing last year (2008). He uses walking sticks and tires quickly if he is standing. Another pretender to the tallest title, Ukrainian Leonid Stadnyk, who claims to be 10.5 centimetres taller than Sultan Kosen, fails to qualify for the record because he refused to be measured by Guinness World Records officials. Guinness editor-in-chief Craig Glenday travelled to Turkey to personally validate Sultan Kosen's height under strict guidelines, measuring him three times in one day because bodies expand and shrink throughout the day.

Sultan Kosen has since been touring England, the U.S., Iceland, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Brazil. You can view more images of his visit to The Netherlands here...

What's with the weird airbrushing over the kid's left shoulder?

My guess is he'd propped his cane against the door, and it spoiled the symmetry of the shot and/or implied that the guy was disabled in some way. Remember, of course, this is from roughly the time that Franklin Roosevelt had to hide his disability.

This is an article that does add insight that it was hoax :/ but their are those that question nationals reputability. Though the have been around scene 1915, but have been accused of being tied to the establishment.

James Owen for National Geographic News December 14, 2007
http://icietmaintenant.fr/SMF/index.php?topic=4286.0

The National Geographic Society has not discovered ancient giant humans, despite rampant reports and pictures.

The hoax began with a doctored photo and later found a receptive online audience—thanks perhaps to the image's unintended religious connotations.

A digitally altered photograph created in 2002 shows a reclining giant surrounded by a wooden platform—with a shovel-wielding archaeologist thrown in for scale.

By 2004 the "discovery" was being blogged and emailed all over the world—"Giant Skeleton Unearthed!"—and it's been enjoying a revival in 2007.

The photo fakery might be obvious to most people. But the tall tale refuses to lie down even five years later, if a continuing flow of emails to National Geographic News are any indication. (The National Geographic Society owns National Geographic News.)

The messages come from around the globe—Portugal, India, El Salvador, Malaysia, Africa, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya. But they all ask the same question: Is it true?

Perpetuating the Myth

Helping to fuel the story's recent resurgence are a smattering of media outlets that have reported the find as fact.

An often cited March 2007 article in India's Hindu Voice monthly, for example, claimed that a National Geographic Society team, in collaboration with the Indian Army, had dug up a giant human skeleton in India.

"Recent exploration activity in the northern region of India uncovered a skeletal remains of a human of phenomenal size," the report read.

The story went on to say the discovery was made by a "National Geographic Team (India Division) with support from the Indian Army since the area comes under jurisdiction of the Army."

The account added that the team also found tablets with inscriptions that suggest the giant belonged to a race of superhumans that are mentioned in the Mahabharata, a Hindu epic poem from about 200 B.C.

"They were very tall, big and very powerful, such that they could put their arms around a tree trunk and uproot it," the report said, repeating claims that initially appeared in 2004.

Voice editor P. Deivamuthu admitted to National Geographic News that his publication was taken in by the fake reports.

The monthly, which is based in Mumbai (Bombay), published a retraction after readers alerted Deivamuthu to the hoax, he said.

"We are against spreading lies and canards," Deivamuthu added. "Moreover, our readers are a highly intellectual class and will not brook any nonsense."

Other blog entries—such as a May 2007 posting on a site called Srini's Weblog—cite a report supposedly published in the Times of India on April 22, 2004. But a search of that newspaper's archive revealed no such article.

Arabian Giant

Variations of the giant photo hoax include alleged discovery of a 60- to 80-foot long (18- to 24-meter) human skeleton in Saudi Arabia. In one popular take, which likewise first surfaced in 2004, an oil-exploration team is said to have made the find.

Here the skeleton is held up as evidence of giants mentioned in Islamic, rather than Hindu, scriptures.

The Debunkers

Web sites dedicated to debunking urban legends and "netlore" picked up on the various giant hoaxes soon after they first appeared.

California-based Snopes.com, for example, noted that the skeleton image had been lifted from Worth1000, which hosts photo-manipulation competitions.

Titled "Giants," the skeleton-and-shoveler picture had won third place in a 2002 contest called "Archaeological Anomalies 2."

The image's creator—an illustrator from Canada who goes by the screen name IronKite—told National Geographic News via email that he had had nothing to do with the subsequent hoax.

He added that he wants to remain anonymous because some forums that debated whether the giant was genuine or not "were turning their entire argument into a religious one." It was argued, for instance, that the Saudi Arabian find was entirely consistent with the teachings of the Koran.

"This was about the same time that death threats and cash bounties were being issued against cartoonists and other industry professionals for doing things like depicting the Prophet Mohammed," IronKite wrote.

How the Image Was Made

IronKite started with an aerial photo of a mastodon excavation in Hyde Park, New York, in 2000. He then digitally superimposed a human skeleton over the beast's remains.

The later addition of a digging man presented the biggest technical challenge.

"If you look, he's holding a yellow-handled shovel, but there's nothing on the end," IronKite said.

"Originally, the spade end was there. But [it] looked like it was occupying the exact same space as the skeleton's temple, making the whole thing look fake.

"Now it looks like he's just holding a stick, and people don't notice. It's funny."

IronKite also altered the color of the man's clothing to create a "uniform tie-in" with the white-shirted observer peering down from the wooden platform.

The two figures work to exaggerate the scale of the skeleton, he added.

(Related: "Shark 'Photo of the Year' Is E-Mail Hoax" [March 8, 2005].)

IronKite said he's tickled that the picture—which took only about an hour and a half to create—has generated so much Internet attention.

"I laugh myself silly when some guy claims to know someone who was there, or even goes so far as to claim that he or she was there when they found the skeleton and took the picture," IronKite said.

"Sometimes people seem so desperate to believe in something that they lie to themselves, or exaggerate in order to make their own argument stronger."

Wanting to Believe

David Mikkelson of Snopes.com said such hoaxes succeed when they seem to confirm something people are already inclined to believe, such as a prejudice, political viewpoint, or religious belief.

A hoax also needs to be presented "in a framework that has the appearance of credibility," he said in an email.

The "ancient giant" has both elements, according to Mikkelson.

"It appeals to both a religious and a secular vision of the world as different and more fantastic than mere science would lead us to believe," he said.

"Proof," Mikkelson added, "comes in the form of a fairly convincing image."

For anyone who may have knowingly propagated the myth, Mikkelson added, the motivation "probably wasn't any different than the motivation for engaging in a game of ringing someone's doorbell and running away—because it's an easy way to have a laugh at someone else's expense."

Alex Boese, "curator" of the virtual Museum of Hoaxes, said fake giants have a long history going back to the at least the 1700s.

The recent hoax is reminiscent of the once famous Cardiff Giant myth, involving a ten-foot-tall (three-meter) stone figure dug up in 1869 in Cardiff, New York, Boese said.

Many people believed the figure was a petrified man and claimed he was one of the giants mentioned in the Bible's Book of Genesis: "There were giants in the Earth in those days."

Likewise, Boese said, the recent giant hoax "taps into people's desire for mystery and their desire to see concrete confirmation of religious legends."

Controversy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Geographic_(magazine)#Photography

Linda Steet in her book Veils and Daggers: A Century of National Geographic's Representation of the Arab World criticizes National Geographic for its
masculinist rhetoric, the one-directionality of its cross-cultural contact, its claim of objectivity and representations that build layers of a... world hierarchy.[6]
Lutz and Collins in their book Reading National Geographic argue that National Geographic is intimately tied to the American establishment and "cultivates ties to government officials and corporate interests".[7] Rothenberg suggests that National Geographic, as a part of mainstream popular culture, has historically helped to articulate a particularly American identity in opposition to "both old Europe and primitive non-Western regions... an identity of civic and technological superiority but yet, a distinctly benign and friendly identity".[8]
The book Reading National Geographic notes how photos are sometimes electronically manipulated.[9] In one photo of bare-breasted Polynesian women, the skin color was darkened.[9] Women with light skin have not appeared topless in the magazine.[9] The book also documents how NG photographers have encouraged their subjects to change costumes when their clothing was seen as "too drab" for the magazine.[9] Summarizing an analysis of NG photographs from 1950 to 1986, the authors argue the following themes: "The people of the third and fourth worlds are portrayed as exotic; they are idealized; they are naturalized and taken out of all but a single historical narrative; and they are sexualized. Several of these themes wax and wane in importance through the postwar period, but none is ever absent

Regarding Giants I remember the cassiopaeans talking about a race that inhabited Antarctica and were very tall, and had a civilisation called "Gor"

Q: (L) Were Atlantis and Lemuria the most ancient of Earth's civilizations?
A: No.
Q: (L) What advanced civilizations were before Atlantis and Lemuria?
A: Many.
Q: (L) Was there an ancient advanced civilization located in the area we now call Antarctica?
A: Yes.
Q: (L) What was the name of this civilization?
A: Gor.
Q: (L) What kind of individuals lived in Gor?
A: 18 feet tall.
Q: (L) Were they humanoid and did they look like us?
A: Close.
Q: (L) Were they male and female like us?
A: Yes.
Q: (L) And did they have space travel capabilities?
A: No interest.
Q: (L) Are there any remains of their civilization left?
A: Yes.
Q: (L) Did they only inhabit Antarctica?
A: No.
Q: (L) Did they inhabit the whole world?
A: Close.
Q: (L) Are there any remains in Florida?
A: No.
Q: (L) Where might the remains be found
A: South America.
Q: (L) Where in South America?
A: Amazon. Ancient legend of Amazons.
Q: (L) Do our scientists know any of this?
A: Yes.

Now, 18 feet tall is a lot! It is about 5.5 meters tall. Even taller than Nephilims.

Regarding the remainings in Amazonia, it is difficult to know about it, most especially if it was concealed by the PTB. There have been found remainings of civilisations in Amazonia, but it is difficult to know whether they are from Atlantis, from Antarctic "Gor" or post-Atlantis amerinds or whoever were there.

But there is something interesting regarding patagonian and Fueguian indians. They are taller than the average native american type. Sometimes taller than Europeans.

Patagonia and Tierra Del Fuego Island, are the southernmost areas of South America, facing Antarctica, shared by Argentina and Chile. Some say that originaly that was a prolongation of Antarctica and part of same, in fact geologically they are connected. The antarctic peninsula has a mountain chain that is the continuation of the Andes.

And this is what it is said about Fueguian indians:

_http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuegians#Possible_Australian.2FMelanesian_origin

The Fuegians have been thought to be physically, culturally and linguistically distinct from other Native Americans. Some proponents of this theory suggest they may be the descendants of Australian Aborigines who colonized the area prior to the arrival of mongoloid Amerindians.[27] Further credibility is lent to this idea by research suggesting the existence of an ethnically distinct population elsewhere in South America.[28] Both Tehuelches and Selk'nams practiced body painting and rock art similar to that of Australian Aborigines. In contrast to most Amerindian peoples, Fuegians appeared to be taller than most Europeans (this does not include the Yaghans, who were quite short with skinny limbs and fat bodies - a physical adaptation to the cold[original research?], or the Kawesqar. Current genetic studies, however, suggest continuity between Fuegians and other Native populations.

Well, the autraloid thing is another subject, and australoids are not that taller, so where does that "taller than europeans" come from? Bearing in mind that they inhabited a cold area, where short body is needed to take blood more rapidly to head, legs and arms.

if the environmental conditions of earth was different in the ancient times (different gravity, magnetic field, different region of space etc.) then it sounds possible that people can grow to those heights. I think this was alluded to somewhere in the transcripts (re. environment being different)

but i think the main point is that in the overall scheme of things, it doesnt really matter if there were giants or not - but it is nevertheless a very interesting diversion :D

Exactly. I've got a number of books about "giants" and they are really about very, very tall humans, like over 6 feet, up to 7 or maybe 8 feet. Most of the legends of giants associate them with cannibalism and I've referenced this in the new article on sott:
http://www.sott.net/articles/show/227222-The-Golden-Age-Psychopathy-and-the-Sixth-Extinction

These are, in fact, the ones that interest me the most; possible mutations or hybrids and the possibility that some of those genetics have been passed down to modern day humans.

I’m afraid I had not read yet the article, but I saw this video about the gigants of Marcahuasi in Peru.

I found this interestingly article that talks about Marcahuasi and the big rocks –it is in Spanish so I am posting here in English, at the end it mentions another megalithic culture but I do not have the time to do the translation, perhaps in another day: -- it is worth to go to the link because there are photos and videos, even if they are in Spanish.

From _http://www.yurileveratto.com/articolo.php?Id=60

The Secret of Marcahuasi
Marcahuasi is a mythical place, for some is the magnetic and gravitational center of the planet, where it lived a prodigious civilization 85 centuries ago, for others is just an spectacular plateau at 4000 meters height, where are the ruins of a pre-incaic culture and where the atmospheric agents molded many rocks until were formed human faces and animal bodies.

My trip to Marcahuasi started in Lima, where one took a small bus to get to Chosica, a city located one hour from capital city of Peru. A peruan investigator, Paul Mazzezi, joined me. From Chosica one take the bus directly to San Pedro de Casta, a little town situated at 3200 meters high, a base point of excursions to Marcahuasi, and it was founded in later years after the conquest of Peru in a place that was already inhabited by the natives called Orcohuasi (near the hill, house of the mountain). Town’s popular legends narrate that mythic ethnic groups lived in the valley since the beginning of times. According to these tales, the first inhabitants of the valley were the Carashatos, primitive cannibals that used to eat raw meat and based their life in strange superstitions. Then came the Huaris, intelligent giants that used fire and dominate the art of rock modeling. At last, come the Varayoq, pre-incaic villagers that were integrated to Tahuantisuyo.
Having arrived to San Pedro de Casta, Paul Mazzezi introduced myself to Manuel Olivares, a nice man of more than eighty years old, eight working with the esoteric Daniel Ruzo, one of the most studious of the Marcahuasi.

Manuel Olivares is a man that knows better the called sacred plateau of the world, but could not be able to joined us because unfortunately his sight had deteriorated so much, although his physical body still allows him to walk up to the 4000 meters high, activity that used to do two years before. Anyway, he told us valuable information about the visiting areas and mostly about the ideal hour to observe determinate rocks and interpret their right meaning taking advantage of the solar lighting.

Next day we parted at 6:30 of the morning, and after two hours of easy walking, we arrived to the plateau of Marcahuasi. The sun shines in the clean blue sky, ideal condition to appreciate the enormous rocks of Marcahuasi and the pre-incaic citadel near to them.

This jungle of rocks really gets your attention. One of them looks like a group of faces and human outlines (the called monument to humanity), others are anthropomorphous (the Political King, the prophet) and there are others zoomorphic (the frog, the African lion, the llama). From this sighting place one can observe also urns (chullpas) and a little farther there are the ruins of the pre-incaic village called just Marcahuasi (in quechuan: monarc’s house, but the villagers of San Pedro de Casta translate to Plateau’s house).
My friend Paul Mazzei and me get into the village ruins and filmed some funerary urns. It is estimate that the people from the plateau could had reached from 500 to 1000 habitants, between the centuries VIII and XIV a.C.
But, ¿Who where this ancient habitants form the plateau? And mostly, ¿Which theories explain the way of living of these remote cultures?

The first studious man that explore Marcahuasi and scientifically analyzed it, was the most important peruvian archeologist, Julio C. Tello, whom in 1923 roam over the plateau and after examined mindfully the funerary urns, mummies and the ceramic pieces at the place, sustained that the builders of the village should have been of the Yunga or a la Huanca culture (that flourished between VII d. c. until the Pachacutec conquest in 1476 a. C.) According to Tello, the place called the fortress, a group of enormous rocks displayed one over another, located farther from the amphitheater, it was no other thing that a sacred place where the Yungas execute sacred rites and worship their gods, called Wallallo.

In the 50’s from last century, the peruvian esoteric investigator Daniel Ruzo (1900-1991), stayed in Marcahuasi for several years studying the enormous rocks and trying to interpret the meaning, that from his point of view, were enigmatic statues craved out by the very ancient megalithic culture that he named Masma. Is worth of noting that Daniel Ruzo was an admirer of the esoteric peruan Pedro Astete (1871-1940). In fact, the name Masma derives from a dream of Astete refered to Ruzo.

Next, is a fragment from the book The Fantastic Story of a Discovery, by Daniel Ruzo, published in 1973:
The most impressive of the sacred mountains of the Earth, is the one which display the most beautiful decoration, is at the doors of Lima, at eighty kilometers at the East, at the ridges of the Andes. A powerful town, a blacksmith of a complete culture, made of it –more than eighty five centuries ago- a reservoir from the rain water to irrigate the grounds during the six months of drought that enclose it. It turned the plateau in an unassailable fortress and a religious center with four enormous altars. It deliver its deceased to the condors and decorated its tree square kilometers with hundreds of marvelous sculptures that no one can deny. It used for those deeds and for that decoration many hours of work so we can assure that were enjoyed during centuries of a flourishing economy.

Also, the famous Italian writer Peter Kolosimo, described Marcahuasi in his book Non è terrestre (Is not earthly), giving a clear signal that the artificer of those stranger sculptures were “Gods coming from the sky” in a far off period, a little later from the deluge.

In my opinion, only a few rocks were sculpted by man, main while the majority of them is a byproduct form erosion of the wind and rain during million of years. Although, it will be desirable that more profound studies were made of the pre-incaic village, with the purpose to know better the Yunga culture (or a la Huanca) that it was constructed almost twelve centuries ago.

Nevertheless, the intuitions of Ruzo and Kolosimo, even though are not based in scientific proofs of dating, nor in arqueological stratigraphy, should be taken in consideration and should be respected, although it will be only because can open new and important investigations that could achieve amazing outcomes.

In fact, not everything in Marcahuasi’s plateau had been explored: in the area called Infiernillo (little hell) there are subterranean passages in where Ruzo try to get into, having to give up because the oxygen become skimpy (we need to remind ourselves that in some points of the plateau it can reach 4200 meters of height and Ruzo was already 60 years old). To exploring theme it would necessarily of a sophisticated equipment that includes oxygen tanks and thermal suits.

Besides, just at nine kilometers from Marcahuasi there is a quite weird face sculpted in one of the big rocks. In certain aspects it remembers us to the face of Mars that caused sensation for a time. It could be just an strange game of lights, but it would interesting to organize an exploration to the zone to verify if in the terrain are archeological evidences.

As it looks, Marcahuasi still enclose too many mysteries, to which a few open and free mind can accede. Perhaps the secret of Marcahuasi, is like the ancient megalithic culture (http://www.yurileveratto.com/articolo.php?Id=93) --- The Lost City of Ingrejil, heritage of the megalithic American culture--- that dominated South America just after the deluge, it hides in one of the caverns of the Andes.

Our civilization, is not interested in the enigmas from the past, inattentive and busy to terminate with the resources without caring from the environment, it lost sight form the ancient sightings from our forefathers, that’s why I am sure that, recuperate them, our live in Earth could be better, not only in the plateau of spirituality but also in the reciprocal respect between other human beings and human beings with animals.

a particular quote of this person steve quayle caught my eye
_http://www.stevequayle.com/Giants/index2.html
... Is it possible they could ever return? The last question I will answer right now - YES, they most definitely could return! And they have something much worse in mind for mankind.
I wonder how much he knows (or thinks he knows) about ancient history, and if this isn't merely another actor in the disinformation agenda as found by authors such as Prince & Picknett in the Stargate Conspiracy.

Checking out the Bio of Steve Quayle, found some interesting tidbits:
_http://www.stevequayle.com/index1.html
The following are some of the more dramatic events Quayle identified long before mainstream news even had a clue:
...
Quayle detailed with remarkable accuracy, the possession of weapons of mass destruction that Libya, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Syria and Cuba possess.

Quayle has stated for several years that the US would eventually have to occupy Saudi Arabia since they joined an anti-US confederation of Arab countries.

In 1999, Quayle stated that a new terrorist crusade would begin and that radical Islam would launch the world into World War III.
The 'feel' of the bio seems to be someone who is promoting himself as an authority figure on various issues. Besides, when you see phrases as quoted above, I get the feeling the guy is either very ignorant or willfully serving the agenda of the PTB.

and that in my opinion, puts his remaining 'work' under question - digging a bit further more might reveal more...

Could be another case of 4d sts being stunningly accurate, when they wanna be?

The Paiutes, a Native-American tribe indigenous to parts of Nevada, Utah and Arizona, told early white settlers about their ancestors' battles with a ferocious race of white, red-haired giants. According to the Paiutes, the giants were already living in the area.

Part of another Ndn legend from the Klamath river Tribes.

WHEN The Indians first made their appearance on the Klamath river it was already inhabited by a white race of people known among us as the Wa-gas.
These white people were found to inhabit the whole continent, and were a highly moral and civilized race. They heartily welcomed the Indians to their country and taught us all of their arts.

When the Wa-gas first arrived on this continent they handed down the traditions to us that it was inhabited by a giant race of people when they first came.
These giants were represented by the Wa-gas as being very swarthy in complexion, and they used implements so large that no ordinary man could lift them.
It was an age when large animals roamed the earth, and it seems the birds and fowls were all very large in size. It appeared to be the first age, and was the age of the
giants. The recollections transmitted by the Wa-gas were that these giants were very cruel and wicked. It was said that God became displeased with them and destroyed them and they all perished from the earth.

It was also said that God appeared to the High Priest of the Wa-gas and told them that he was going to destroy the giant race and that the Wa-gas themselves would
survive upon the earth as a new people.
Smaller birds and animals would appear upon the earth for the use of man, thus the age of giants perished, but the Wa-gas do not hand down any tradition of how they perished from the earth, as my people have no recollections of ever seeing giants.

My mother says that our people in ancient times have seen many relics belonging to these prehistoric giants, such as huge stone bowls, stone slabs and other implements so great that our people could not move them. During the ages of rains and wearing away of the earth, these implements have been buried so deep and have sunk into
the earth, is the reason we cannot find them today. The Indian name for the giant race is Pah-pel-ene, which means people that have all died and passed away.

After we had lived with these ancient Wa-gas people so long, they suddenly called their hosts together and mysteriously disappeared for a distant land, we know not where.
We have no memory of their reason or cause why they abandoned their ancient homes
where they had dwelt for untold centuries. On leaving they went toward the North from whence we came, and disappeared from our land beyond the northern seas.

In their farewell journey across this land they left land marks of stone monuments, on the tops of high mountains and places commanding a view of the surrounding country. These land-marks we have kept in repair, down through the ages in loving remembrance. I have seen many of these land-marks myself (and often repaired them).

Thanks for this.

Made me think of the August C's session.

The Plains of the Jars comes to mind in Laos:

Among the Inuit, it was said that before their ancestors came to the Arctic, the land of the midnight sun was home to a race of giants, who the Inuit drove away in furious prolonged confrontation. So common and compelling are these stories that anthropologists have little doubt but that the Tunnit did exist. The only question is: who were they?

He claimed the Inuit even said of the Inukshuk stone markers; there are some very old ones dotting various islands apparently, that they were never part of their own heritage but that of the Tunnit, however, modern day Inuits say otherwise.

Seems there are two camps of thought amongst the Inuit about these Giants. The Tunnit, claim some anthropologist, are the Dorset people. The Tunnit were giants depending on who tells the story, or of similar size to the Inuit except for their great strengths according to some Inuit.

Here is a little description on the types noted in their Mythology. For the purposes of description, see this link below - note in this link the Tunnit vs. the Inupasugjuk, with whom the latter are called Giants not the former.

Mahaha is a maniacal demon that terrorized parts of the arctic. This creature is described as a thin sinewy being, ice blue in colour and cold to the touch. Mahaha’s eyes are white and they peer through the long stringy hair that hangs in its face. This demon is always smiling and giggling. It is strong, very strong and it is always barefoot. Mahaha is usually seen with almost no clothing on yet it never seems to be bothered by the cold. This cold demon takes pleasure in tickling its victims to death with sharp vicious nails attached to its long bony fingers. Many elders have remarked on the expression of the dead victims Mahaha leaves behind. It seems all of the victim have a similar expression on their dead faces – a twisted frozen smile.

Although this demon is twisted and evil, Mahaha is easily fooled. Most of the stories told about Mahaha end with it being fooled. Usually Mahaha is tricked into leaning over a water hole to take a drink and is pushed into the open water and swept away by the currents.

So if Mahaha ever corners you alone, ask it to have one last drink with you by the water hole before it tickles you to death.

The Ijiraat are the shape-shifters. These land spirits are elusive and can transform into any arctic animal to disguise themselves. Most often they take the shape of a raven, bear, wolf or even a human. The only part of the Ijiraat that it cannot disguise is its red eyes. In all of it forms, both human and animal, its eyes always remain red.

These hidden creatures are portrayed as evil and malicious in many stories. These stories warn that the Ijiraat lie in wait for lone travelers, changing shape to fool and get close to the travelers.
Some elders argue that these land spirits and are not inherently evil, but rather misunderstood. One elder warned that these spirits are surrounded by mirages. When mountains or islands on the horizon look bigger or closer than they really are, an Ijiraat might be near. It seems some elders believe that the Ijiraat often appear to bring messages to travelers.

Although many interpretations of the Ijiraat exist, one thing seems to be certain: After an encounter with the Ijiraat people tend to experience memory loss and quickly forget the details of what happened.

If you ever encountered an Ijiraat, remember to talk to as many people as possible before you memory begins to fail and you forget the experience.

The Taqriaqsuit are also known as the shadow people. They live like we do in a world like our own. Their world, however, is beyond our perception. They are almost never seen, but sometimes when conditions are right the Taqriaqsuit can be heard. Have you ever heard the sounds of footsteps or the sound of talking or laughing in the distance but see no one around? Maybe it was the Taqriaqsuit.

Sometimes these shy beings are noticed or people sense their presence. When this happens, the Taqriaqsuit seem to disappear into the ground and vanish. Stories tell us that some Inuit have crossed over into their world, but few have ever returned to tell us what it is like.

If the Taqriaqsuit invited you to crossover into their world for a visit, would you go?

These are marine creatures of the cold arctic waters. They are often described as having scaly and bumpy skin, not unlike a scalpin. It is said that these ugly creatures reek of sulfur.

The Qallupilluk is a child-snatcher. No one really knows why these creatures love to take children. Perhaps they take children because they are lonely and like the company, or maybe they like how children taste?

Many stories of the Qallupilluk tell of them wearing eider duck clothing with large pouches on their back to carry children in. The Qallupilluk hides in the ocean, waiting for children to play alone on the beach or near the breaking ice.

Usually the Qallupilluk jump out of the water and grab children without any warning. Sometimes, however, you can hear them knocking under the ice. Some elders have said that if the ocean begins to become wavy in an area or steam begins to rise from the ocean, a Qallupilluk might be hiding underneath the water.

One thing is certain, whether a Qallupilluk is hiding in the water or not, it is never safe to play alone on the beach or near the broken pans of sea ice.

The Inupasugjuk are northern giants. Very little is known of these huge creatures. Inupasugjuk are rarely seen and almost never talked about by elders. It seems the males are larger and less common than the females. Very little is known of the males. Perhaps that is because no one has ever survived to talk about them?

Female Inupasugjuk seem to be more common. These Inupasugjuk find humans amusing and will catch them to use as playthings. Some elders warn that the females will grab people and carry them away in their amoutiqs.

If you ever see an Inupasugjuk, crouch down and remain very still, your best chance of escape is to avoid being seen.

These are the people who lived in the north before the Inuit. These beings spoke a simple language, sometimes referred to as “Kutak” or “baby-talk”. The Tuniit were a peaceful people who minded their own business, if left alone. Artifacts of the Tuniit can be found all over the north.

The Tuniit were the same height as regular people; however, they were thick and extremely strong. If angered, the Tuniit were a powerful enemy.

If you ever come across a thick and strong person dressed in skins and using the tools of our ancestors, it might be the Tuniit! If this being speaks to you, answer slowly and don’t use big words.
