Golden Pit treasure unearthed!

The Living Force
Well this is something quite sensational: while exploring some karst terrain on mountain Mosor near Split, for a caves re-mapping project, a team of speleologists accidentally dug out a pot full of gold! Total of 4,1 kilos of gold - namely: 61 coins, 25 necklaces and 7 bracelets. My opinion and first reactions are that this treasure could be priceless due to it's antique appearance; ruins of major Roman settlement Salona are near and there is an old legend about Golden Pothole which speaks of Golden Han and twelve chickens buried somewhere on mentioned mountain before Avars (Mongols?). I wonder if this is just one chick of dozen and if so how big their Golden Mama could be ??? €€€ $$$... Luckily i am not after that kind of gold :halo: but it will be interesting to observe if some kind of golden fever will start after this news - Caves an' pits there are in abundance around here:

Photos are amazing and will save them in case that this article mysteriously disappears!

P.S. Maybe even FotCM Speleo team could be sent to some sightseeing over here?

...or, or even ask C's some more details in next session? :-[

Thank you, I've been waiting for an April Fools joke all day today, and thought I missed the whole celebration. Good one, got me. ;)

Oh it's April's Fool joke :-[

Was going to say, I looked at the pictures right away and thought what a load of BS. It looked way too planted. Gold that has been covered up for years and years doesn't suddenly come out of the ground looking so shiny :)

I was also thinking, if riches are what you are after, it would be better to win the lottery or something like that. With finding archaeological remnants like those, who knows what sort of bureaucracy you will run into. In the UK I know the gov't basically gets dibs on anything you find, and in other countries it could be the same, or you might find that the land is privately owned, therefore everything on the land is owned by them, etc.

Reaching for the pot of gold, eh?

This was an unnecessary and unhelpful comment on my part, made only to share/show how proud I was that I got something right. Noise, generated by a false personality.

I agree - after carefully watching photos again i also noticed contradictions and than remembered the date... maybe a little excuse could be that i've never see much gold in my life :halo:

Yes that also ran through my mind - bureaucracy tentacles everywhere...

... it is also striking that people here are not in April's Fool Mood at all - since prankster-hood is/was a kind of way of life here - i guess crisis and uncertainty are taking their tolls...

I don't think that's the reason. I can't speak for others, but for me, this life, in many ways is one big April fools day! And no, you're not a 'sucker' so no need to be so hard on yourself. :)

Much agreed!! :D

This life is much like a prank, but, IMO, a prank we all signed up for. Discernment is key IMO, and so are all lessons!

Very intriguing perspective - and quite sobering, since i am able to joke on my account (D'sucker :cool2: - just a way of relieving own discomfort) on this one occasion, but regarding whole life in this manner is not so funny... Jet, with the help of this forum, April fool life is not so frustrating any more, but a kind of challenging :cool2:

Like finding first correct letters/words in mind blowing multidensitional crosswords/crossworlds puzzle! And i always loved solving those riddles - as harder the better!

Absolutely! When I said that in many ways life was one big April fools joke, I meant that it often seems 'someone' is having a laugh at our expense.

It used to really get me down and may still catch me off guard at times, but more and more, I try to not only view it as a challenge, but also find it fun (and funny) sometimes. Hope that clarifies.

Yes it does - and if i remember correctly in one of transcripts it was mentioned that Lizzies/PTB are laughing at us (maybe not so much any more due to growing "pressure") - so i recognized what you could be talking about...

THX ts!

Personally, this made my day. I do it - or used to do it -frequently but most people don't find it funny, I love half-joking, half-serious self-criticizing comments like that.

This might be just me but I think 'Crossworld Puzzle' is a great play of words! If only Douglas Adams were alive today...
