The other night I sat down and watched this film on DVD , Goyas Ghost (halfway films 2007 ) which takes a look at Spain pre Napoleon and post. It focuses on a part of the painter Goyas life . Pre Napoleon he is witness to the torture carried out by the re instatement of the inquisition , or people "put to the question" (Torture)
Afterwards we see the brutality of the french troops also who are supposed to come to bring peace and freedom , and then back to the English putting back the royalty to the throne.
