Great product for ice and snow: Yak Trax

Gimpy

The Living Force
When the big ice storm hit, Hubby ordered us each a pair of yak trax. They are made of rubber that slips over boots or sturdy shoes, and the bottoms are lined with sharp springs. They keep a good grip in ice and snow, and wet ice. (All of which we have here right now.)

Hubby picked ours up from Amazon for 12 dollars US a pair. They have kept me from falling and breaking any bones this winter, which is a big deal since I land on my head regularly.

We love ours.

One caution: Don't wear these on tile or linoleum surfaces, make sure you have a pair of shoes or slippers to change into. You can take the trax off in the car like we do, then put them on when you get home, but if your limited in range of motion, switch shoes. :flowers:
