This is a prime example of what the Germans did to the Jews in WWII. The only difference is the excuse being used: 'War' or 'Terrorism'. Its all totally made up anyway. There's no difference, apart from that.

It took the German people a long time too, to see that their government was not benevolent.

Guantanamo is a test by the White House to see how much they can ignore the Constitution and get away with it. So far, so good. What will their next step be? "Enemy combatant" is a phony term that the president can bestow on anyone, US citizen or not, for any reason, in order to lock them away without charge or representation, forever if he wants. So much for his recent speech in which he called America a free land in which government is limited in its intrusion into people's lives. In fact, the president can end anyone's life right now, at will. I'd call that an unlimited intrusion. It's already in effect.

The treatement of the Semetic people remains the same - just the 'do-ers' of the attrocities is different - or is it? Perhaps in name only, this being the 'nationality' of the perpetraitors.

I wonder why people can't 'see' it? Nothing much seems to have changed from then and now.

I'm also wondering whether there are differences between then and now. Are there any at all? Hopefully more people are aware now, than they were then.
