Well, I'm not a huge fan of fawning adoration, but I am grateful for all you have done and all you continue to do. So I wrote you a poem:
As the wall went up I was blinded,
Oblivious to the snake
Coiled around my mind,
Twisting, hissing,
Whispering.
Walking in darkness I stumble,
And before me lies a spark.
"Lies," the snake whispers,
But I choose to look.
I choose to listen.
I choose to learn.
I am frail, I am weak,
I am the product of doubt,
But I yearn to be more.
The spark shows me the way,
And my own footsteps
Beat down a path ever growing in light.
I learn that I know nothing as I go,
And that is a wonderful place to start.
Anyway, kind of lame and I apologize for that.
Happy Anniversary Laura & Ark!
