let's see...if I remember correctly this was your 74th life X 65yrs (let's just keep the # low to avg out for the ones that end early, plague, saber tooth tigers ect.) that's 4810 yrs old!! And that's just 3D WOW!! You are still just a spring chicken for a being of infinite possibilities.... ;)

I think if we really want Laura's birthday to not be filled with stress, worry, and headaches, we should do all we can to help her and the rest of our extended family in the Chateau with their (and therefore our!) current very grave situation. I say this because I caught myself typing happy birthday, but if my words are not married to my actions, then how could I say that they are genuine and that I truly care? I can't! So unless I'm putting my money where my mouth is, it feels contrived and wrong to express a wish I don't truly mean.

So I'm not sure how happy your birthday is this year, Laura, but I truly hope you are able to somehow focus on how far the group has come and have faith that we will not let you down, that this too shall pass. You have overcome so much already, and I know you will continue to overcome so much more because you eat challenges for breakfast. Chuck Norris has nothing on you. Allow me to re-write his jokes into actual statements of fact, because they are all true when they're applied to you.

With the way the winds are blowing (literally and figuratively), a storm is definitely coming, and I think the worst is unfortunately still to come. And like the C's say, it can give you that feeling in the pit of your stomach. But that also means the best is still to come as well. The air is never fresher or calmer or more clear than after a huge storm. And if there is any group on this planet that can weather any storm, this is it. In fact, our birth of our flesh is more like a "death" than a birth I think. We arrive kicking and screaming and crying and it's silly celebrating your arrival to a pretty harsh school, which is literally, hell. Hmm that gives "trial by fire" a whole new esoteric meaning... Anyway, I think it makes more sense to celebrate your graduation, and before that to celebrate your progress and accomplishments, both for yourself and what you did to help others grow as well. So happy BIRTH day, and I truly hope we can be celebrating more such BIRTH dates on this forum for many members who have, are, or will develop their conscious "I". I'll drink to that!

Just so ya know, I had a nice, quiet day doing emails, playing with the dogs, being with my kids here while they cooked a nice birthday dinner, and then after, I got to pick the Birthday Movie. (That's what we do on birthdays, everyone watches the birthday person's selected movie.) I picked "Walk the Line" about Johnny Cash. I LOVE that movie.

Yes, we stayed on our diet and I'm going to put the cake recipe in the Diet and Health forum a little later on. We drank iced tea without ice because our ice maker was accidentally turned off...

The kids got me some cool heavy socks to keep my feet and legs warm.. (like knee socks) and some very nice bath gels and "pearls" and fizzies. My beloved Ark bought me a desk plant, a tea mug and a new pair of headphones for my mp3 player that I have on right now... What am I listening to? Rolling Stones: You Can't Always Get What you Want !!!

I have to say that I laughed until tears came. Haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time! Thanks for that imagery!!! I'm gonna print it out and stick it on the top of my desk to remind myself!
