Timotheos song is awesome and it's really nice to hear others in the room laughing. It makes me smile. :)
and the cuckoo clock and the background makes it just perfect :)

Update on the festivities!

We had the scrumptious dinner and the mousse was perfect. I mean, absolutely. Can't even describe it! We stuck a candle on it and that was the "cake".

Then, the "prezzies." The only thing I ever ask for is bath gel or salts, that sort of thing. But every year, the kids try to find something unique. This year, all of them together outdid themselves!

A 1958 manual typewriter... "for the ice age"!
A square peg in a round hole (I'll get a photo of it up soon) made by one of the guys.
A beautiful inlaid wooden chest made by two of the guys. (They are practicing woodcraft stuff.)
A magnifying mirror light (because my eyes are going kaflooey).
A piece of oystershell with a nascent pearl embedded in it. (Really cool).
A frame for a family heirloom christening dress I've been wanting to put up like a picture.
A bag with bath gel and shampoo!

THEN, the highlight: Timotheos wrote a new song inspired by my article "Let's All Light Up". Ark made a little video of him playing and singing it so maybe I can get it up shortly.

So a good time was had by all. Now, back to "Fragments..."

Thank you for sharing your day with us Laura. All the 'prezzies' were really thoughtful & sweet gifts given from the heart. Reading about it has made my day :)

I forgot to mention one gift: a hand knitted circular scarf made by my sister-in-law! But she took it back to add a few more rows.

You know, in the West we get so caught up in the whole consumerism of celebrating anything- so much so that we lose sight of the holiness of that day. Look at Easter, Christmas, Valentines Day, Mothers day, Fathers days etc.... When really what it should be about is quality time spent with loved ones, food for the Soul and gifts from the heart. That's why reading your post put a smile on my face. :)

Some belated happy birthday wishes to you, Laura! :flowers: May the journey on the path of your life be a nice one throughout the coming year, with some other good discoveries waiting beyond the one or other bend. May it be full of joyful learning and may you keep your strength and your good spirits when things seem tough.

And thank you for helping to make my life and that of many others more worthwhile by all the work you have done and are doing. :hug2:

Happy birthday ma'am, I hope you have a great day and a great year. My best wishes for you and all of the team.
