By the way, here in my part of the UK the weather is really quite mild, with no snow or frost at all.

It's usually under -20 (Celsius) where I am at this time of the year, with lots of snow. But today, it's +3 C, warm and sunny, and whatever snow was around is melting. Pleasant, but still makes you wonder when this is going to change, and how....

Quite the contrary, here where I live in southern hemisphere is unusually fresh or temperate-to-mildly cold when it should be hot as it is summer. To the point that even the last 3 or 4 days we had a couple of nights and mornings with 12 or 13º C, when the average should be over 18ºC in the morning and 30 at the noon.

Here in Vancouver it has been the same. We've had a really warm December. But I read on the news from Environment Canada that it's going to get very cold and to expect lots of snow after Christmas. We actually had a VERY windy/rainy Christmas day- not that nice at all :(

Here in Missouri (US), it's the first time in late December (Christmas) I can say I went outside to have a smoke, barefoot! It was 48 degrees, blue skies and sunny. :)

Happy New Year everyone!

Being drowned in the 'nothing to add program', I didn't participate much this year on the forum.

Hopefully that changes in 2012. A really good year wished to all of you!

Happy Christmas to all at the chateau folks and health and love in the upcoming year. To all forum members that share so much from the heart ,to SOTT,FOTCM.And to the greatest gift I've received this season, AMAZING GRACE.Cried, laughed, identified, cried some more, wrote, released, and feel reborn.THIS was my gift from the magi. That little girl in the book changed the coarse of this little girls life in ways she could never have imagined. And I thank her,Laura, from my whole heart and being. It takes a lot of a certain depth of love and courage to cause such change in me,mostly trust in the one sharing honest exposure of oneself. Thanks for never giving up.I feel pretty happy to be here knowing that you are too.

Seasons best to the chateau folks and all FotCM members everywhere - keeping quite but made a nice batch of Buckwheat Shortbread which was fun to make and well received; kudos for this recipe (slightly modified) posted on the forum. :flowers:

Happy Holidays everyone! I spent mine visiting various family members. Was really tired after the long day. I'm just about all rested up and back to regular sleep schedule. I don't think I will stay up until midnight for New Years. Way past my bedtime. :P

Happy days to everybody! in my case I am a little tired of cooking for so many people and missing my daily reading.

Today would be the real ''christmas'' acording to the C`s:

Q: (L) What date, counting backwards in our calendrical system, was Jesus born on?
A: 01 06 minus 14.
Q: (L) What time of day was he born?
A: 6 am.

In my country, Christmas is celebrated on January 6th.

In Armenia ? I didnt know that there was another day for Christmas somewhere else. I did a search and it's said that Armenia is the sole country that celebrates Christmas on 6 January.
