In my country, Christmas is celebrated on January 6th.

In Armenia ? I didnt know that there was another day for Christmas somewhere else. I did a search and it's said that Armenia is the sole country that celebrates Christmas on 6 January.

Yes, in Armenia, and as far as I know, it IS the only country, but Russia for example celebrates on the 7th (and I think Greeks too) and they're all Orthodox Christians.

I believe the Coptic (Egyptian) Xtians celebrate on the 7th as well. See Wikipedia entry on Coptic calendar (_http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coptic_calendar).

I was always fascinated with the alleged birthday of Jesus and have read several sources offering several dates. As well, since there are still cultures using different calendars for different purposes, not all are aligned with the more common calendar (Gregorian?). It is interesting the Cs would put the date at the 6th, since so many use that date as the nativity (those who follow the Julian calendar, I think). Hard to believe something like that would still be retained with any degree of precision, especially considering the attempts at modernizing the calendar (Julian, Gregorian, etc.).

The Greek is the only Christian Orthodox church that celebrates Christmas on December 25th. On January 6, they celebrate the Epiphany.

Ah, thanks, Alana. I thought I remembered something about the Greek Orthodox church being different (that's why I put I think in parentheses).

Also in some Latin American countries, 6th of january is the day of "The Magi". And the children are given gifts, for a second time, parents tell them that the magi come in camels at night and leave the gifts as long as the children leave their shoes at the door with a postcard to the Magi, asking for the desired gifts.

I think it is 14 years BC .
But I don't understand is it 1. June or it is 6. January?

My guess is that if the session was done in Florida, they likely would have used the American MMDDYY format as is standard here. But it is a good question I think!

From my old days and for the sake of comparison:

Jesus Christ was born April 6 but Mormons Celebrate His Birth on December 25

A: 01 06 minus 14.

What is the "minus 14"?
