First off, I didn't see a thread for this show. If there is one could a moderator just fuse this post with the existent thread?

Great discussion on a variety of topics. I never heard of Aerotoxic syndrome, but I have had the experience of smelling odd fuel-like scents on airplanes before.

I also noticed that Tiff and Erika seemed to have higher mic-volume than the other hosts. I'm not sure if that's a setting on their mics or just the mics being too close to their faces, but it stood out so I thought I'd mention it.

I try to adjust the volume correctly by sometimes the mixer seems to have a mind of its own . If you happen to be in the chat on a future show let us know if you notice sound issues.

I'm glad you liked the show.

This show was very interesting indeed.

Even though I never know about the details about it, for some reason I always liked to put something in front of my nose whenever I travel as it gets really bothersome after a few hours. Last time I used a scarf :P and awoke no suspicion from anyone. :)

Thank you very much!

Agreed, very interesting show, I have shared the info with a few friends who fly a lot!

It sounded like Tiff and Erika were clipping, which means their mic inputs were overloaded, if that is the case there's nothing you can do about it on the mixer end of things, you can increase and decrease the level that it is being broadcast on, but, it will still be distorted. My advice would be for everyone to check their mic input levels and make sure they are not going into the red, usually the level should be about 3/4 of th way up . That way there wont be any distortion and the mixer can boost or lower the signal appropriately. I have attached a pic for mac, but there is pretty much the same setup on a pc for reference. Choose whatever mic input you are using>Adjust the input volume first>check the level is around 3/4>adjust output level if needed. Hope this helps, and thanks again for the great show :)
