Heavily documented 2004 US army UFO case

I stumbled upon an UFO case which is hard to dismiss for detractors as it come from the US army with witness and infrared footage to back it up. I guess it's a well know case but I did not have it in mind. So here is the description gave on a French radio by someone named Sylvain Maisonneuve, a former official from the French government. The text is translated from French.

- (interviewer) Here is one which is quite unquestionable, this one, the one you just mentioned, are absolutely essential because these are the first big cases, especially in the United States, which, in a way, cause hysteria at that time, but there is one which is much more recent, which is from almost 20 years ago, it's in 2004, and this one, in reality, is fascinating because there are all, let's say, the modern reasons to believe in it, video surveillance, radar signals, can you tell us about it?

Because, except if I'm wrong, it's the last really edifying case on which we can rely when we want to believe or be interested in UFOs.

- (SM) Yes, it's the most striking case, as I said, in Roswell, it's very complicated to distinguish today the true from the false because, globally, all the protagonists are dead, and there has been a lot of misinformation, we will have the opportunity to come back to it. In the case of 2004, it's totally different, since it's an incident which happens with an air-naval group, which is, basically, the aircraft carrier and its ships which escort it and protect it, and the destroyer which escorts this aircraft carrier detects on its radars an object at the space's border and which goes down extremely fast, in just one second, in the atmosphere.

- You detail the course of the observation, you say that the author, the witness, details the very precise course of an observation in a very regulated way, he explains that in less than one second, the object has just gone down to a little more than 28 000 feet and positions itself in stationary flight, which makes everyone amazed, it's very simple, no conventional object is capable of such prowess, precisely either because the aircraft at such a speed crashes, or nobody can survive inside, in reality, it's really, let's say, a phenomenon of speed which takes everyone by surprise when they are witnesses of it, or when they have the data on the radar.

- Yes, there is a physicist who studied the trajectory of this object on the basis of the statements made by the chief operator of Princeton, so really on the basis of radar elements, and they calculated that the object's speed was equivalent to 5000 G, it's a force of acceleration, if you will, which imposes a gravity constraint which is totally considerable, so that you have an idea, a conventional fighter aircraft, whether it's a Rafale, an F-18 or others, can suffer up to 11, 12, 13 G before the wings detach.
So we are on notions which are obviously out of common measure. What is interesting in this case is that, indeed, it seems totally absurd, we are close to the American coasts, and so we are going to order the deployment of a squadron which was doing an exercise until now to go and see what's going on on site. And indeed, the squadron chief, who has a lot of experience, who went through the Top Gun school, sees, along with his teammates, an object which is about the size of a fighter aircraft, which has an oval shape, white, without any roughness, without any propulsion mode.

- He says: 'It's an almost perfect cylinder, the kind of shape which is not made at all to fly, but to fall, and yet we saw what we saw.'

- Exactly. That's it, that's indeed exactly that. He says it, he even nicknames it the Tic Tac, because it has the shape of a Tic Tac, and finally, this object has behaviors and movements which are totally erratic just above the water, then detects the presence of the aircraft, of this commander, who is called David Frévore, who goes down in contact with the object, and the object will react by standing in front of it, and then there will be a whole ballet which will set in place before the object disappears in an absolutely lightning-fast acceleration.
And what is interesting in this case, is that, indeed, we have eyewitnesses, we then have a video which has been recorded by, precisely, a fighter aircraft, an infrared video, and we have, indeed, the testimony of the radar operator. So we have multiple and concordant sources, which are extremely interesting and which make it a particularly striking case.

- And a case, we remind you, which dates from 2004, so one of the most recent cases
