Hedy is feeling worse

I shared in Hedy's previous post about how she was having side effects from a dewormer (Introducing Hedy). The vet gave her a shot yesterday for nausea, but it never worked, and Hedy continued to vomit or try to vomit all day. She did not eat all day,. She did drink a little water, but then shortly thereafter, she vomited it up. Last night, she was very restless and did not sleep much. This morning, we took her outside where she did pee a little and shot out a liquid stool. I don't know how she had anything to pee or poop since she hasn't been able to eat or drink. We brought her back in and I tried to get her to drink some broth, by just touching it to her lips. No sale. A few minutes later, she got up and vomited that. She will not last much longer the way she is looking. I plan to call the vet's office as soon as it opens to check for options. But if someone here has some guidance, I need to hear it. Thank you.

Make sure the vet checks her for liver shunt, this is congenital condition that is often overlooked and it usually progresses with time, it sounds like more serous then reaction to fenbendazole.

She was feeling great before I gave the dewormer. Is it possible that aggravated a liver condition?
Could be. To be honest I never had such severe reaction to fenbendazole, it is normally very well tolerated.
Recently I have been using it a lot in dogs with cancer and never had issues.

In any case I would do full investigation. Please keep us posted.

Vet visit report: Hedy had a fever. Dehydrated. Parvo negative. Xrays showed no blockages of any kind. Lab work - only negative thing was that her white blood count and related items were very low. No liver problem. So the vet still thinks that the worms expelling caused little tears on the intestines, and now an infection. With the low WBC, not fighting it very well. But she still offered little tail wags to the tech.

She stayed at the vet's office to get IV fluids, antibiotics, and another dose of the anti-nausea medicine. I'll pick her up at the end of the day and hopefully, she'll be feeling better so she can start eating again.
