A Disturbance in the Force
In one of Mr. Gurdjieff's books he has an extraordinary example of how the average person's "personality" vacillates in response to external stimulus e.g.: "A pretty girl smiled at me and I was happy, I saw a man who's spoken badly of me and I was angry."
Sadly I've loaned several of my Gurdjieff books and cannot find a reference to which one had that particular section. If anyone can either point me to the title or copy the brief section I'd sincerely appreciate it! Thank you
