high-pitched background noise.

It's been three weeks since a high-pitched background noise appeared in my head and I wanted to know if other people were experiencing the same thing. 5G ? electromagnetic changes ? search for spiritual frequency ?
I've had tinnitus before and it's not the same phenomenon. Thank you for your testimonies:huh::-)

Have you tried putting earplugs in your ears to see if it's still there? Or moving locations? If it's still there under those conditions, I'd say it may be tinnitus.

Yes, it's continuous, everywhere, and even with my ears plugged up. If it's tinnitus, I've never had it continuously before. Thank you for your answer.

There is some good information on tinnitus on the site www.seekingbalance.com.au where Joey Remenyi has podcasts and some free resources. Also, put her name in a youtube search and you'll find more info.
Joey's approach and book has really helped my wife with her tinnitus and vertigo.

I’ve had tinnitus a few times, much like a sharp stab of feedback that stabs then wanes. This because as a hobby I like to work on beat production.

It’s not the same as the shimmering sound I hear. It’s not like tinnitus as it doesn’t obstruct my hearing abilities at all.

I can hear every sound succinctly and unburdened by the shimmer when it occurs (Unlike tinnitus, which is an attack of defeating proportions). The shimmer is gentle and certainly oscillates, it can intensify or be barely noticed but it reacts to not only my own emotional states but others around me. It also warns me, I got a sharp shimmer for example when I stood too close to a curb, moments after stepping back, the shimmer stopped then suddenly a truck wrecklessly sped around the corner and it’s mirror would have struck me for sure if I didn’t move.

I almost ignored the shimmer at first as any time I tried to explain, most people just pass off any of my observations as nonsense and tell me it’s tinnitus.

I had to observe this for years to tell the difference as result.

Hear it pretty much all the time. Its always there. Sometimes more noticeable sometimes less. I call it the "sound of silence". Its the loudest when there is silence around me.

What is it? Who knows. Never thought much of it. If I do not overthink it I barely notice it.

I've had tinnitus for years, continuously. It's mostly just a soft background high-pitched ringing. Sometimes it's louder, sometimes, but infrequently for me thank goodness, it's really loud. But, mostly it's in the background and if I don't focus on it, I don't hear it consciously until I do think about it. I guess that's because I've had it so long that it's just "there" and can be ignored when it's not that loud.

From what I've read, it can be a soft sound, or a loud sound, and anywhere in between. It can be continuous, or can come and go.

Yes, I understand. When I have tinnitus I can't help but diminish it by the will of thought. I can't do it now.

Yes, I must have the same thing, but this sound of silence invades me, my brain will have to get used to it. Stress can also play a role. Thanks

Did you check with doctor to rule out any physical body's issues? Did you search on the net, does any body in your place ( city or region etc.) observed similar phenomenon. May be you can search nearest cell tower, distance s and when they were installed etc. that can be correlated to the onset of your current symptoms.
