Holiday greetings

For some this can be a difficult time of year, either with family issues or it can be especially hard for those who are alone, so I'd like to remind everyone of the awesome family that we have here, and say that it is a privilege and a pleasure to be a part of it.

Thanks Nomad. At the moment.... this is the sentiment I relate to most closely. I DO feel privileged and grateful to be a part of this family.

Absolutely!

I opened the forum to send you all greetings, I discovered you had already started this thread, great!

Je vous souhaite toutes et tous, où que vous soyez, un Joyeux Noël!
I Wish you all, wherever you are, a happy New Sun !

Respect maximum to the paléo-christians and all those who gravitate around.

Stay Alive

Thanks to everyone for the Holiday wishes and Bohort for the card. I will be visiting some close family and eating healthily. :) I extend the sentiments and also wish everyone a Happy Holiday season and New Year! :) :flowers:

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

And while reading threads on the forum, I inadvertently ran in to a post by Pepperfritz. It brought back all the memories of what surrounded her great change of heart, her great contributions on the forum and her ultimate demise.

So knowing that the C's said in a recent session that Victoria was fighting the good fight in 5D I would like to take this opportunity to wish Victoria a Very Merry Christmas!

Sentimental, I know, but it comes from the heart. Uhm, okay, that's what sentimental basically is, I guess, but anyway I would like to let her know that we still are thinking of her and her great contributions she gave us all here on the forum.

 I don't remember how or why, but i was thinking of Victoria myself last night. I am not a regular forum participator, nor did i interact much with her, but i was very affected by her death and her change in many ways. And last night i spend some time thinking of her and thanking her...

Perhaps it's not so weird that we think of her these days, since holidays are family times and the absence of family members who left is felt more now too...

And to all of you, my big wonderful family: may you have some time to relax and have fun, even catch up with your reading and/or forum threads ;) over this holiday.

I was in the kitchen for the last two days, improvising and creating, and the result was delicious! I am very proud of it because it's the first time i made stuffed turkey, and the stuffing too! along with a mango salad and buckwheat pancakes. The family also loved it and noone noticed that it was all gluten, sugar and dairy free :D

- Hey Deedlet.

I like your drawings. I definitely will try out Manga Studio EX. I hope it goes smoother than Adobe Illustrator which I am currently using. It’s fun to draw with. But it takes some patience. I actually do like to draw manga/anime from time to time.

- Hi truth-seeker.

A few days ago I followed your advice concerning vitamine-c. Supposedly mandarins got a lot of those. So I searched the house and found plenty! I ate around 15 of those things. I guess they where at clearance sale.
As for that igloo, The snow has become wet. I really had to take my chance when it was still fresh. Anyhow I am sure I get a second opportunity.

Happy Holidays Everyone! :)

I am living in Georgia, USA right now and mainly we just get together as much of our family as we can and exchange gifts. Everyone around here puts up christmas lights and some people have some pretty elaborate setups. I usually go to my parents house for the holidays. My parents live in a very conservative christian city so going to church is very popular but my family has never been into that. My sister is in town and maybe my uncle will come to visit. My family lives all over the country so it is hard to meet up.

We set up a christmas tree in the living room and set up stockings and put the presents under the tree. We usually open up a gift or two on christmas eve and then the rest on christmas day. Then we eat a christmas dinner with the family or any other guests that are over. My parents usually make me a special dinner with no gluten/dairy ect. and my sister has been getting into healthy foods recently so she got some special food today also. I had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli, and green beans for dinner and my mother made a gluten free apple/cranberry bread cake.

Thanks everybody on the forum for all you have done and I wish everyone a happy holiday season. :)

I hope everyone had a very nice xmas...

Santa was good to us at our house and the kids are playing happily with their new toys. We have our big dinner on xmas eve and open our presents to each other that night. Then xmas morning Santa comes and leaves toys for the kids under the tree. We have breakfast and then go visiting.

One of our most important ceremonies is Wopila or giveaway so we all really enjoy xmas even though most of my friends and family are not Christian or marginally Christian. Most of the presents we exchange are either things we have made or have had already and are ready to pass along. So in a way giveaway is just another way to redistribute stuff. It's good too because we are taught not to get to attached to any kind of material things.
Last night my friend gave me her old coffee pot and some coffee which was really nice and I gave her a shawl someone gifted me several years ago and a few books I thought she would like. My oldest daughter loves to sew and she make a quilt for a new baby and knitted some scarves and made some rag dolls for the little ones. Another good friend made me a necklace with a little carved salmon on it for prosperity. HA HA! So the stores don't make much off us during the holidays... It's really neat when you gift someone something like a shawl or a blanket and see it make the rounds over the years..sometimes it even finds it way back to you!

We ate Turkey and some deer shoulder meat cooked up in a chile sauce, cornbread stuffing, feral pig sausage, greens with ham hocks, roasted pumpkin, dried corn soup, potatoes and apple pie.

If I don't eat for a week I'll probably still be full.

merry xmas to all sending smoke and prayers to all of you this morning... :cool2:
