Hong Kong high-rise building on Fire

Thanks for sharing. I watch their show regularly and was searching for one their video's to share this as well, but couldn't find it. They also talk alot about sloppy construction, relative new buildings and bridges failing and wide spread corruption in the chain, which makes construction companies cut safety issues and try to cover that up. I even saw a video of a styrofoom beam painted grey, so it could pass as steel.

CNA just released a more indepth video about why three people were arrested. Apparently they found styrofoom and plastics in the appartment buildings. If these materials have also been used widely in this project, it is no suprise that the whole building caught fire.

At 5:26 min of this video:
The entire renovation project cost about 42 million $ USD. When that contract was first approved, residents were required to pay quite hefty installments, and they were not very comfortable with it. A majority of people living here are above 65 yrs old. We are talking about a subsidized housing project and people not being able to afford to pay for this (...)

People seem angry, and believe that China is hurting its citizens. As for myself, I don't know. To know the truth, one would need an access to the supreme boss, and his papers. Only then could we know the level of troubles, and then be able to link "crime" to the initial/original government.

There seems to exist malfunctions in China, but it could be partly due to opportunists. People inside the govt, but in reality an external "faction", or "team". So, not really the original Communist government.

It could be, too, that the government starts to suffer from a pathocracy because Communism may be a too simplistic ideology, and that it wouldn't be the first time that this happens.
