Horrible Histories

Palinurus

The Living Force
While searching for info about Divi Filius I stumbled upon a YouTube site called Horrible Histories filled with spoofs around known historical figures.

Here's one example, of course about Augustus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngTSwzn7VtI

Despite the awful singing I enjoyed this one  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1MMkZnr364

Considering what passes as music these days, this was a veritable operatic aria!

I quite agree. I even could follow the lines -- which is rather remarkable since I'm a non native speaker. ;)

These are laugh out loud hilarious!

This one is funny too: Horrible Histories - Roman Gods.

I sure would have been more interested in history growing up if it had been more humorous...or at least less dry. Sometimes think the Texas school systems deliberately made things a boring as possible so we would not be interested or learn anything REALLY useful!!

Very funny! I loved the way Augustus couldn't seem to remember "thingy's" name.
