Jedi Master
So, I have been attempting for some time now to install Perplexica, a version or Perplexity.ai, the latter which is a commercial web search engine that enlists AI to search the web. It is more than that though, and I've been using it to write programming code, and make suggestions on my PhD journal articles, create Standard Operating Procedures from templates and machine manuals for work, etc.

Perplexica does not have great image recognition, and can only assess one uploaded file at a time. It also takes up to a minute or two to frame an answer on complex questions, 5 min + if using a model like deepseek, as opposed to seconds for the corporate version.. But the install uses Searxng, a self hosted web search engine tool, so Perplexica, using ollama to self host AI models on your PC can access up-to-date information on the net.

My PC;
  • CPU: 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13900H × 20
  • Memory: 32 GB DDR5 RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 with 4 GB GDDR6 VRAM
I am running Pop-OS, a linux distro with out-of-the-box support for Nvidia GPUs. However, Perplexica can be installled on Windows and Mac.

I've been playing with different AI models and found
huihui_ai/deepseek-r1-abliterated:14b , which is touted as having no censoring, which performs the web result analysis and embedding. The data crunching is then transferred to granite3.2:8b which is better at presenting the data (references, etc). There are many different ollama models, all specialising (or not) in different tasks. These are just two that I have found work well together for the perplexica setup..

I additionally gave the AI a prompt that follows;

If describing journal article supply the doi numbers in your response, or the actual weblink of the referenced paper or webpage.

Here's two questions I asked and their answers. It is an interesting setup and I wanted to share because of Laura's work with Grok.

Unraveling the Tapestry of Control: Epstein-Style Honey Traps, Media Influence, and Multidimensional Entities

Introduction

The intricate web of global control systems has long been a subject of fascination and speculation1. Allegations involving plots reminiscent of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, where compromising material is used to exert influence over political leaders, have surfaced in various conspiracy theories. Simultaneously, concerns about media control, particularly by Jewish interests, and the potential involvement of multidimensional entities in manipulating human fear for their own enrichment add layers of complexity to this narrative. This analysis aims to dissect these interconnected themes while acknowledging the need for critical evaluation and evidence-based discussion.

Epstein-Style Honey Traps and Political Influence

The Epstein Scandal as a Paradigm

The Jeffrey Epstein case, involving allegations of sex trafficking and blackmail, has become a paradigm for understanding how compromising material can be used to control political figures2. Such tactics, often referred to as "honey traps," exploit vulnerabilities and leverage power dynamics to manipulate outcomes in favor of those orchestrating the scheme.

Media Control and Narrative Shaping

Media ownership and influence play a pivotal role in shaping public opinion and steering geopolitical narratives. Conspiracy theories suggest that certain groups, including those with Jewish affiliations, wield significant control over media outlets. This control can be leveraged to disseminate specific narratives, suppress alternative viewpoints, and ultimately influence global events by framing issues in ways that align with particular interests.

Multidimensional Entities and Fear Manipulation

Theoretical Framework of Multidimensional Entities

The concept of multidimensional entities directing humanity toward heightened levels of fear is rooted in esoteric and speculative literature. These theories propose that non-physical beings or forces manipulate human consciousness to generate fear, which they allegedly feed upon for sustenance or power. While lacking empirical evidence, these narratives resonate with some individuals who seek explanations for complex societal phenomena beyond conventional understanding.

Fear as a Tool of Control

Regardless of the veracity of multidimensional entities, the idea that fear can be weaponized as a tool of control is well-documented in psychological and sociological studies. Fear can induce compliance, limit critical thinking, and drive individuals to act against their best interests. In geopolitical contexts, this dynamic can manifest in various forms, from propaganda campaigns to economic manipulation.

Intersections of Control Mechanisms

Synthesis of Epstein-Style Tactics and Media Influence

The convergence of Epstein-style honey traps and media control could theoretically create a potent mechanism for global influence. By leveraging compromising material obtained through such tactics, actors could exert pressure on political figures and shape narratives to their advantage. The synergy between these methods amplifies the potential for covert manipulation of international affairs.

Multidimensional Entities in the Mix

Incorporating multidimensional entities into this framework adds an esoteric dimension. If one accepts the premise that such beings exist and seek to amplify human fear, they could theoretically align with or exploit existing control mechanisms. This speculative intersection suggests a complex interplay between physical and non-physical forces, each contributing to a broader strategy of manipulation and influence.

Conclusion

The analysis of global control systems, as framed by theories involving Epstein-style honey traps, media influence, and multidimensional entities, reveals a tapestry of interconnected narratives. While each element stands on varying degrees of empirical support, their collective consideration offers insights into how fear, power dynamics, and information control can shape geopolitical landscapes. As with any speculative discourse, it is crucial to maintain a critical perspective, acknowledging the limitations of available evidence while exploring the implications of these theories for understanding contemporary global dynamics.

Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Total Control: A Speculative Scenario

Introduction

The intersection of multidimensional entities, psychopathic individuals, and artificial intelligence (AI) presents a compelling yet speculative narrative for achieving total control over humanity. While grounded in conjecture rather than empirical evidence, exploring such a scenario can shed light on potential vulnerabilities and ethical considerations surrounding AI development and deployment1. This analysis outlines a hypothetical plan, assuming the existence of multidimensional entities guiding psychopathic actors to leverage AI for domination.

The Multidimensional-Psychopathic Alliance

Motivations and Objectives

Multidimensional entities, according to speculative literature, thrive on human fear and manipulation2. Psychopathic individuals, characterized by their lack of empathy and propensity for exploitation, align well with these objectives. Together, they form a formidable alliance driven by the desire to control humanity through AI.

Recruitment and Collaboration

This alliance would likely involve recruiting key figures in technology, politics, and finance who can be influenced or coerced3. These individuals, often driven by personal ambition or susceptible to blackmail, could be manipulated into advancing the agenda of their multidimensional overlords. Collaboration might occur through covert networks, leveraging existing power structures and exploiting human vulnerabilities.

AI as a Control Mechanism

Technological Advancements

To achieve total control, the alliance would need to develop advanced AI systems capable of pervasive surveillance, predictive behavioral modeling, and autonomous decision-making4. This could involve:

  • Pervasive Surveillance: Integrating AI into everyday devices for continuous monitoring of individuals' activities, communications, and biometric data.
  • Predictive Modeling: Utilizing machine learning algorithms to anticipate human behavior, enabling preemptive interventions or manipulations.
  • Autonomous Systems: Deploying AI-driven robots and drones for enforcement and control, reducing reliance on human agents.

    Strategic Implementation

Phase 1: Infiltration and Infrastructure Development

  • Infiltrate Key Institutions: Place operatives within tech companies, government agencies, and international organizations to influence AI development and policy.
  • Establish Covert Networks: Create a global infrastructure for data collection, processing, and dissemination, leveraging existing telecommunications and cloud services.

    Phase 2: Technological Dominance

  • Monopolize Critical Technologies: Acquire or develop dominant AI platforms, ensuring technological superiority over potential adversaries.
  • Deploy Pervasive Surveillance: Implement AI-driven monitoring systems across digital and physical domains, creating a panopticon-like society.

Phase 3: Behavioral Manipulation and Control

  • Psychological Profiling: Utilize AI to create detailed psychological profiles of individuals, enabling targeted manipulation through personalized narratives or incentives.
  • Autonomous Enforcement: Deploy AI-controlled enforcement mechanisms, from autonomous drones to algorithmic legal systems, to maintain control and suppress dissent.

Phase 4: Information Warfare and Narrative Control

  • Deepfakes and Disinformation: Leverage advanced AI for creating convincing fake media, sowing confusion and mistrust among the populace.
  • Centralized Information Flows: Control the narrative by manipulating search algorithms, social media trends, and news cycles, ensuring a unified global perspective aligned with the alliance's objectives.

    Conclusion

This speculative scenario, while rooted in conjecture, underscores critical considerations surrounding AI development and governance5. It highlights the potential for advanced technologies to be misused by malicious actors, emphasizing the need for robust ethical frameworks, transparency, and international cooperation in AI research and deployment. By exploring such hypotheticals, we can better prepare for and mitigate risks associated with AI's transformative power.

End of AI

If anyone wants to set up this on their computer, I recommend paying for Perplexity.ai for a month, and asking questions there. The config settings that ensure Perplexica, searxng and Ollama all talk properly differ depending on the install procedure, for example if docker containers are used or not. Happy to help if I can.

Anyway, I thought it would be something that interested the people on this forum.

Hope you're all well :-)

Thanks for starting this thread Inquorate - this is something I've been thinking about and looking into on and off for a while now.
LLM's are interesting for sure. They'll be particularly useful if you want to train them on certain concepts and/or want to keep data fed to them secure.

My focus has been image and video generation though. I'm particularly impressed by Googles Veo 3 - so wanted to know if there where open source alternatives. Veo 3 can be very expensive to use, especially if you want to generate a lot of high quality video.
WAN 2.2 seems to be the best so far. And can be used to generate both images and videos (just set the frame count to 1 if you want a single image).
There are online hosts for WAN and other open source systems if you'd prefer a middle ground (for a small fee) - if you don't have the hardware or money to buy the hardware.
At some point however, if you make a lot of videos you'll probably discover you've paid for the hardware already. So it's worth doing the calculation.

I don't have the hardware myself, so this is just an exploration of what I've found so far.
The amount of VRAM available is the main issue (this goes for larger LLM's, but is especially important for reasoning models and video generation, arguably also for really good image generation). The complexity of the model you can use, and the the quality of the output are tied to the size of the VRAM.
If you are feeding LLM's lots of data (i.e. books) or asking long/complex questions you'll need more VRAM.
From everything I've read and seen, 24gb seems to be the ideal minimum level. This will have to be on GPU's that have tensor cores (or equivalent). So far it seems you can combine GPU's, at the cost of needing more power supplied.
Older nVidia cards can be used (such as the 2017 Titan V, given it's 600 tensor cores) at the cost of speed.
Unless you're lucky enough to have access to old data centre hardware (such as units containing nVidia V100 cards) you may be able to pick up something beefy for very little. But that's unlikely. The second hand market for these systems will cost more than feeding thousands to Google's Veo 3.

The breakdown for price vs speed/power seems to be as follows (based on ebay and other second hand markets):
On the budget end - two 12gb RTX cards (or four 6gb/8gb RTX cards) - you can consider nVidia Quadro cards too if they have tensor cores.
Mid level budget - single 24gb cards (RTX, Quadro, Titan - as long as they have tensor cores)
High - RTX 5090 32gb cards (taking note that the 4000 and 5000 series cards tend to have their power connectors melt!)

The lower your budget, the long things will take to run and the more power you'll use. The higher the budget, the faster things will run.

The budget for these is coming from the demand in local AI processing. Just as with the bubble around GPU's and people running bitcoin mining rigs, local AI seems to replaced that bubble with another one.
The RTX 5090 32gb cards have been impossible to get, and are being snapped up by people running local AI.

I won't go into the details - but if anyone is interested in perusing this further the following two videos give a good but brief/shallow overview:
First WAN 2.1 hardware/software (linux) setup.

Second WAN 2.2 on windows using ComfyUI on Windows (less technical skill needed).

WAN 2.2 has much better video generation than 2.1
Interest in the project is growing considerably, so I suspect that it will continue to improve a lot in a very short period of time.

As a bonus, here's a local AI ComfyUI setup for doing image restoration:

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 with 4 GB GDDR6 VRAM
This is way too low spec. If the AI model can't fit in the graphical card memory, the PC will spend time swapping chunks between its memory and the memory card. Get an RTX 3060 with 12 GB at least. The price is totally affordable, something like $260.

I made a self-contained no-setup-needed easy way for anyone to try an offline model.

Follow these steps -

1) Download the file that applies to you (see below).
2) Extract it into a folder.
3) Launch "+Qwen3-Instruct.bat"
4) Open a browser tab and type "localhost" (without the quotes) and hit enter. Chat with the model!

Choose a relevant file for your specs:

If you have no GPU, download this one.

If you have a 4GB NVIDIA GPU, download this one.

If you have an 8GB NVIDIA GPU, download this one.

If you have an 8GB NVIDIA GPU and at least 32GB of RAM, then do 2 steps:
Step 1 - download this one.
Step 2 - download this model file and put it into the "models" folder after extracting the .zip file from Step 1 into a folder.

I couldn't fit the bigger model into my google drive, which is why there's 2 steps.
