Heuristic said:After spending time on the Cassiopaea network of sites, I often find myself a little depressed and disparaged. Why? Everywhere we turn we see the Control System, and this network of sites is vigilante in its efforts to help, those who choose to learn, become aware of the cornucopia of perpetual dangers we face, and although I am abundantly grateful for all the work Laura and her team exercise to help people become aware of these dangers, sometimes I’m left wondering if there is anything uplifting left in the world.
Actually when you get down to it the realization that you are truly trapped in a control system and the reasons for it should give you at some point a real joy in the realization of it. There might be depression due to the death of your subjective illusions as a result of seeing the world more objectively but it can get replaced with the joy of realization regarding what the problems really are and then discovering ways of solving it. It's a challenge too and the challenge should kick in your warrior spirit as well. Kinda like solving a math problem. You work hard to solve it. You might get depressed and frustrated in the process but when you figure it out its a joyful experience.
Also, the cause of your depression and/or just its opposite of "being cheered up" is still a chemical state that may be triggered by something, but the cause of our negativity is still within us alone. Our negative states originates in our centers and depression or any other negative state may be an identification with an instinctive state. That I think is where it begins. Proper diet will make a big difference in that. Possibly your illusions were giving you a "feel good" chemical state and then seeing reality more clearly did away with some of your illusions and as a result you became identified with a negative instinctive state (just as you can became identified with a positive one) since your feel good positive state vanished with the illusions making you feel depressed.
You might find that there is a part of you that can separate from these states, an inner separation from your negativity can be possible which can momentarily station a deeper part of yourself above your subjective chemical states (whether they be positive or negative) and you can witness how they affect you from that vantage point, seeing what triggers them, and what it is inside you that gets triggered and so on.
The music video might have "spoken" to your instinctive center in its own language thru a kind of sympathetic resonance (since each center has its own language and it's own way of understanding things) and it may have produced a feel good chemical state that made you feel good and that might be all there is too it. Nothing wrong in that as long as you can see it for what it is. Otherwise your problems that caused you to be depressed still remain. Nothing will change. But in order to see all this an inner separation is necessary and that in my opinion is where real seeing and learning (and problem solving) begin.
