How is Laura?

Then, we spent two more days in Split so I could check out Diocletian's palace, get some good photos for the volume after next, and also spent a morning at the ruined Roman town, Solin which was amazing. I'm pretty sure that Barbarians didn't effect all that destruction!

I hope that you had a chance to take a bath in Adriatic - due to a such tight schedule :ninja: ... and those ruins in Solin have antic toponym - Salona...

...and than that facebook again :phaser:

Welcome back Laura! I'm glad you had a good trip.

Thanks to everyone for being concerned!

The best part of the trip was the people we met and spent too-short a time with. How much I would like to be able to just go to each and every person and visit them - or several people - and sit around and talk about stuff. Everyone has so much to contribute in terms of observations and experiences. I came away from the meeting with the Croatian members with a few good ideas about how to improve the intro to the next volume. They may not realize it, but that's the effect they had on me!

It also helped a lot to visit Salona/Solin ruins and I got some ideas from poking around Diocletian's palace. The lady in charge was very nice and allowed us to take photos and said she was going to read HoM so that she would be up to speed to read about my views on Diocletian. That was a nice little experience, exchanging views with her.

Laura, earlier today I sent you a friend request on facebook and noticed that we had a friend in common whom I believe to be the film producer you mentioned in your earlier post, *********. I am glad to hear that you got the chance to meet him. I find him to be quite a remarkable person as well as being humble though I never got the chance to meet him in person. His aristocratic background is also very interesting which is what brought him to produce an insightful movie, ********* (not sure if it's available in English). Just thought I'd mention it, hope that's ok.

I just was wondering if Laura is OK? It seems to me that I miss her comments since some days. Maybe I should not ask, maybe it is not my business but really, I miss her! :-[

And my apologies if I make noise with this...

I was worried and concerned as well that Laura doesnt post or comment lately, but that can be explained if laura has been very busy this days , i miss her too and i hope all be OK :)

PS: Today i have a dream referents to the C's and Laura in my dream i was seeing laura talking to me but I couldn't hear what was saying to me just looked how she moved her lips, maybe it's my crazy idea but in the future laura could teach us or talk to us in our dreams :3

Hello Gaolea,

Not sure you grab the message of your dream which seem very clear from an external point of view. ;)

While there, we met with an Italian movie producer who contacted me via FB and had a great discussion.

In the future: Laura film producer. Think of the very rich literary material belongs to laura with which you can make the most interesting scripts, and therefore, the richest material for movie makers. With all this, no need to be seer: the future is money, money, money!!!

Welcome back !! :welcome:

Then we drove across Italy and took the night ferry to Split, Croatia. We drove down to Kotor, Montenegro, where we met with some great folks for an afternoon and evening. Spent the night, drove back up to Split to meet with the Croatian forum/FOTCM members for a lovely lunch. We were able to put faces to names and everyone there was so nice and welcoming!

How do I envy people from Croatia... ;D
Can we expect a working/research trip down here in Switzerland in the near future...? :halo:

You say the truth, Caballero Reyes. But I think besides movies, one day she could create worlds directly! :D

On the other hand, I hope that Laura has inspired to the Croatian members with some of his strength and love for them to not be blinded by the momentary noise entering the EU (false hopes) and continue to pay attention to the signs.

Well my impression from people here Dalmatia is that vast majority are very skeptical about EU - even it could be said that we are disappointed in Croatian government. Dalmatians are very tricky and whimsical - we question any authority (domestic or foreign) and it will be interesting to observe what will happen after D's realize that carrot which has been dangling before our noses was not real...

Is good to know that of the Dalmatians, because in Zagreb apparently many celebrates -that was the official noise-, a great celebration for the delivery of its central bank to goldman sachs and others!. The price to be fully Western, probably. (This further isolates more Russia too, no?).
Also to note that Croatia comes when there are nine countries in crisis and there is low granting of credits from the ECB (recently, the government of Spain claim opening of credits). The next will be Serbia or Bosnia?:

I make a correction: Croatia at the moment is keeping his currency, the Kuna, and the capabilities of its central bank. We'll see how the EU handle to inject money-debt and then trying to take all from the people as they have done in other countries (with the help of the internal corrupts).

o wow ... wow! ... I had no idea that you have been in Split, and all this stuff .... I had no clue, since few weeks ago, and now stumbling upon this, that you actually know my place very good, even Salona, what is what most of the visitors missed, but that is one amazing place, as you know by now ....

I am bounded to the both places ... I was born and raised in Split, and I am kind of addictive to the old city built at the foundations of Diocletian Palace, and Salona too ... I just spent every moment I was able to wonder around that places as a kid and young girl, and now since I don't live there ( and it hurts a lot, but for some reason it is impossible to live there for long time, and not to get bitter or bitten by the family :( ... but I guess it is just my assumption, and now maybe it is time to think to "get back" )

okay I am relay overwhelmed with emotions right now ... I am even more trilled that this visiting of Salona and Palace inspired ending and beginning of CHM book .... it is incredible to know that, specially as know I know that all of your work inspiring and making sens for me to finish my 10 year journey around my film Mechanical Figures _ Inspired by Tesla ...

okay I guess I get back later, have to go to work "real life" stuff .... and I just wanted to share this 2 photos with you, that are my mental anchors where ever I go, I always have them in my mind, they are part of decoration of one building in the D palace ... for some reason I always thorugh that they are a "kind of a life keepers" in this place ... and I don't know if you know about the St. Jerome place at the Split hill Marjan? I will get back to give more info on that part ....

and now, I think I would like to know Croatian members of the network more, and if possible to help to organize gathering together in real space, some time soon? Please get back to me anyone who thinks we can do it together, to get to know each other and to think together what and how to proceed upcoming events ... I guess Croatia can be a perfect place to build one Ark ;) ... we just recently had in our memories the horrible war times, so some how we are always "ready" for the mess, special people form Dalmatia, and hills up north in Hercegovina region or at some of the southern Islands like Korcula / Peljesac / Lastovo / Mljet / Vis ... etc
