also regarding college football...I played but only 2yrs as I had injuries that lead to surgery and I saw a neurologist that helped me over lingering concussion ... unless you were going to make it to the pros maybe not playing saved your physical body to get to 60? Getting hit alot buy grown men in their early 20s for free isn’t all that great...Fun memories and experiences but there’s a saying about juice and squeeze

I started playing guitar at 6 years old. My fingers don't work like they use to. Depressing...
Playing Pros? Never considered that. It's the pleasure of playing the game that counted to me. Hell, I remember getting hit so hard, got my bell rung, got up and walked to the wrong huddle. Oopsie, nope, go over there I was told. And yeah, using your body as a weapon was fun to me. Be it running for a touchdown, faking their jock off or just running them over. I dislocated a finger and got back in the huddle and the guys start pointed at my hand and said ohhh.... Coach just yanked it and popped in back into the socket. Many stories here. Thanks for the great advice AI. As most people are saying, you have this amazing forum and members to network around and learn. Your physical Heath could be deteriorating but as the C’s say, it is the sprit that counts! You have your wife and your pets so there is still plenty of love to go around where you live. You are actually blessed to have all of these things in this life, never forget that!

Wrote this back in February few weeks after getting out of hospital. That day my life literally changed over night. Not sure if I shared it on the forum yet. Maybe you will get something out of it or not.
