I found this YouTube video which gives you a whole new appreciation for the immensity of the visible universe. I don't really know how beneficial it is to say how old the universe is or whatever (we may never really know), but what IS known through photography is awe-inspiring, to say the least. It simply takes your breath away, and makes you think about our life here on the BBM.
Something not mentioned in the video, which I thought would have given people an even greater appreciation of its significance, is that the patch of sky that the Hubble telescope was focused upon was equivalent to the area of sky covered by an object not much bigger than a grain of sand, held at arm's length.
While looking at all those galaxies, I wondered whether each galaxy has a particular polarity, as in STO and STS (I'm sure the C's or the Ra Material discusses this). I also wonder how galaxies interconnect at higher densities.
