So yeah, I went to a trade fair about "well-being and alternative medicines".

Among others, there was an interesting booth untitled "Aura-Soma Healing". The stand was beautiful with two walls made of flasks with incredible colours. To give you an idea, here is what it look like, this is a photo from their site but it's better in reality:

The flasks contain water, oil, plants and crystals and the idea is to use it on your body with the one you're attracted.

I gave a check and it's a system developed by a woman named Vicky Wall, in the 1980s in the United Kingdom.

I asked the bot about Vicky Wall:

• Vicky Wall, born on 7 August 1918, was a surgical chiropodist who created the Aura-Soma colour care system after losing her sight.
• She developed the first Equilibrium bottles in 1983, mixing oils, waters and plant extracts in her home laboratory.
• Vicky Wall believed that the colours people choose reflect their state of being and their personal journey.

I don't know if it work and I'm a bit reluctant to have my skin eventually absorb crystals but the whole is an interesting idea.

I heard about Aura Soma many years ago, when researching the topic of New Age for some school project for class in religion. Aura Soma was categorized the same way like other alternative practices on the websites visited back then, in a pejorative way (in the sense mainstream websites tend to deal with alternative stuff). So it is interesting to encounter the subject from another direction now!

Had a look on the website and feel reminded about the color psychology system that was developed by the Swiss psychologist Johannes Schneider. It resulted in a little game or test where one could draw cards with the colors they (subconsciously) feel drawn to the most at a given moment, and cards with the colors they feel drawn to the least (or detest). And that it can tell them a lot about what's going on in the deeper psyche at a certain time, and how one does approach life and other people at the moment. The website astro.com offers it as a free color oracle deriving from this method (I believe there was a link on the forum years ago but can't find it anymore).

There's an interview with Johannes Schneider who developed a system of color astrology as well, next to the color oracle/test. Here's the blurb, with further reading on the site for those interested:

What also comes to mind are Bach Flowers since plant extracts are involved in producing the Aura Soma liquids - but next to the other components; whereas Bach Flower essences are being made up by using certain flowers only and the liquids in the stockbottles are said to contain their respective information. I have been doing some reading on Bach Flowers over recent years and have been encountering a method where people can choose one or more bottles (next to questionaires), and if someone feels drawn to a certain bottle the most this one is supposed to be the right one for them.

So yeah, from what you say I think it's a good method but I really wonder if STS forces did not put their dirty paws with the crystal ingredient being toxic to the body. Also the water is perhaps programmed in a way promoters of the method does not realize:

Yes, I think for people considering Aura Soma this would be good to keep in mind. Crystals have the ability to contain information, and so does water - they can be informed in a specific way (as we know), with a certain intent. So in the wrong hands (either consciously or non-consciously) they can be loaded with information that might prove damaging to those applying an Aura Soma liquid - thus possibly turning around something with a supposedly good intent to nefarious purposes.

Considering this it would indeed be useful to know about the specifics on how these crystals are programmed. And who is programming them, what is their background.

If you take certain crystals for themselves they are said to be beneficial in certain ways, like black turmaline for grounding and protection, citrine for boosting energy levels and enhancing positive emotional states, karnelian for promoting motivation and confidence, selenite for cleansing and clearing away blockages, etc. But they're usually worn as jewellery on the body, not to be absorbed through the skin. And the control about the maintenance process (like cleansing and charging) is up to their users if they want to use them for receiving specific benefits.

Like you, I am thinking about it with a good grain of salt. Also, it would be interesting to hear if other members had encounters with Aura Soma, and what they experienced.

I get a buyer-beware feeling too. Fluids can be corrupted. We get homeopathic medicines from informing water and I've never known homeopathics to deliver negative effects unless maybe because of a misdiagnosis. An aside, why are homeopathics always clean, if they are? Is it the succussion or the dilution or both or something more? But water can absorb negativity, as we see the patterns made resulting from informing water with 'hate', for instance. Bach remedies, so far as I know, are not corruptible themselves and if you misdiagnose there is no ill effect, just no effect at all. I'm not sure on this one but using the Bach remedies has never resulted in a negative result or felt sense, but crystals and water, yes.

It's all also too easy and cute and romatic, and as if the website is written by AI, lol! But that's just cynicism, perhaps... But maybe not.
