My aunt came from a trip from Norway. She visited a strange hotel, an Ice Hotel. I wanted to share these pictures with you.

Did your aunt tell you that it was reallyl cold staying at Ice Hotel?

Thank you Gandalf for sharing the video. In the video, people were serving drinks in ice cups. I thought that was "cool" ;)

Gandalf, thanks for the video, I really did not know that in Quebec is an Ice Hotel.

My aunt said to me that it was not cold at all because I imagine all the ice makes a good temperature inside (even if you keep your boots and your coat.) They took a drink also, in ice glasses. I imagine living in an igloo is the same, in fact surely these hotels are made like igloos, but bigger.

So maybe we should learn how to do an igloo... for the next Ice Age. ;)

Is this the one in Tromsø?

I don't know but I will ask her and tell you. Are you from this region?

I'm from further south in Norway, but I have relatives from the northernmost parts.

Aaaah, you are lucky to live in this part of the world. You have marvelous scenery and almost ice age temperature. You have aurora borealis and reindeer! :)

Yea, well. The country stretches pretty far south; so the situation isn't at all like that in most of the country. There is, however, occasional aurora borealis in the capital of Oslo. Beautiful scenery is plentiful, though. :)

I considered studying up north, but complete darkness for several months seems a bit discouraging to me.
