Iceland volcanic ash alert grounds UK flights

look at the pics from that article:

http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2010/04/icelands_disruptive_volcano.html

Today, British civil aviation authorities ordered the country's airspace closed as of noon, due to a cloud of ash drifting from the erupting Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland. The volcano has erupted for the second time in less than a month, melting ice, shooting smoke and steam into the air and forcing hundreds of people to flee rising floodwaters. The volcanic ash has forced the cancellation of many flights and disrupted air traffic across northern Europe, stranding thousands of passengers. Collected here are photos of the most recent eruption, and of last month's eruptions, which were from the same volcano, just several miles further east. (18 photos total)

thats a nice photo :O

Just to be clear, that is not an image of the Iceland volcano erupting. That image has been around for a while, I remember seeing it at least 3-4 years ago.

Iceland Volcano, natural eruption?

OK, people... i want to hear your opinion about iceland's volcano eruption. Is this natural eruption or something about NWO's (new world order) conspiracy to destroy human prosperity with changing weather? i don't think that volcano is only way to done this, i connect this with earthquakes and lot of more weather changes...

Re: Iceland Volcano, natural eruption?

Hi malikucad,

Welcome to the forum. :) We recommend all new members to post an introduction in the Newbies section telling us a bit about themselves, and how they found their way here. Have a read through that section to get an idea of how others have done it. Thanks.

Hi malikucad and welcome to the forum. :)

Re: Iceland Volcano, natural eruption?

Do you have any evidence that the volcano was triggered, or are you just speculating? While we have some idea that the earthquake in Haiti was triggered to further the agenda, we also need to keep in mind that there are also natural stresses that are increasing. Reading Laura's comet series is a good intro into some of the research on that topic. You can find links to the articles on the front page of SOTT.

Below is another picture taken by NASA's satellite on April 16th. - Source

NASA's Terra satellite flew over the volcano on April 16 10:45 UTC (6:45 a.m. EDT) and the MODIS instrument captured a visible image of Eyjafjallajökull's ash plume (brown cloud) stretching from the UK (left) to Germany (right).

Just so you're aware malikucad, I merged your topic with the already existing thread regarding the Iceland volcano.

From The Christian Science Monitor Photos of the Day:

This computer enhanced image from the German Aerospace Center shows a photo of the volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in Iceland on Friday. The photo was taken by the TerraSAR-X satellite:

Ya'll add some of your comments - especially eyewitness ones in UK - to the FB post about the sott article:

Scroll down for it. You'll see there's a bit of controversy.

Same thing here in London, the sky hasn't been this clear in a while, the Sun is bright, no sight of ash or any kind of clouds whatsoever.

Update: Plus I'm also of the opinion that closing all the airports isn't necessary. Hell, the whole of NW Europe has been closed; I don't remember them closing all the Mediterranean air space when Mount Etna erupted, and it does emit large amounts of ash itself.

The sky above Glasgow yesterday was so blue and clear it was an amazing sight. I've never seen the sky that blue and the sun was really quite bright. Absolutely no contrails and very few clouds until later on in the evening.I wonder if more people on SOTT that live in the UK also thought this?

This must have been what it was like before all the commercial airlines became a common sight in the skies. Quite extraordinary looking up at the sky and seeing no planes or contrails.
