Illnesses in 2015

I was wondering whether people thought there was a general increase in illnesses in 2015? I've noticed that my family and I, and my co-workers and their families, have been getting sick a lot in 2015. It seems more frequent and more severe than usual.

Yes, I've also noticed, in my case it seems as if he had unlocked something, because this year there have been several things regarding health, and one after another, certainly this year seems very strange. :scared:

I think that more and more sick people because of the food they eat, environmental pollution and air (and consequently the food), poverty (people buy junk food full of additives and other unhealthy substances) drugs that doctors prescribe properly, drugs that "heal" one cause, and destroy other organs, ... :(

Stress is another big one. Either too much of it and/or incapacity to use it in any constructive way.

People are not in good health with all the medication they take for this and that, without thinking of the secondary effects. If you consider the flue a illness, this year there is more people than the other years having a very strong flue, that even needs hospitalization, specially concerning problems with lungs (pneumonia and neumonia). Also in Quebec they told me that emergencies are full of people with the flue, even they are force to close some hospitals with the epidemic. So what is happening? People have a low immune system because what they eat and because of the stress. Economical situation is hard for everybody and this is cause of stress. Many things are the causes that we become sick, our environment, our food, what we listen, what we think. People are a mess, I think so. Virus are happy when people are weak.

Apart from the general state of unhealthiness I don't have noticed an increase as such.

What I find truly shocking is that you hardly find a person above 50 years anymore who is not on some kind of medication - blood pressure meds, psych meds, statins, anti-diabetic meds etc., these all being affections that could easily and permanently be cured with diet.

But neither myself nor surroundings have had more acute illnesses as far as I can tell.

I haven't noticed a big increase in illness in my immediate environment either. Nobody I know even had a flu or cold this past winter. (knock on wood ;D)

As for the patients I see, I've only had a couple with the sniffles (college students) and like nicklebleu said, at least 50% are on some sort of drug (blood pressure, cholesterol, and loads of anti-depressants!), so people's immune systems are under assault from many fronts - bad food, high stress, contaminated work environments, etc...

Best to fortify with keto diet, cold adaption and EE and not allow these viral menaces to get the better of us. :cool2:

You are lucky. My sister had 3 times the flue this year. A friend had a extremely hard flue, and his husband had a neumonia very strong, he was send to emergency and took antibiotics during 2 weeks. My sister in law had the flue, also. Myself had just a small cold that last 1 day, thanks to the diet. Around me every one was sick with kleenex and cough. Cold adaptation, you are right, is fantastic!

I've got the flu at the moment which is really unusual and something I would only get around November/December. It has been a very stressful last few weeks, but luckily I'm getting better with a steady protocol of NAC, Vit C and sodium bicarbonate, so there was no using pharmaceutical grade medicine. :/

As for seeing more people getting sick in 2015, I've been noticing a general increase in peoples lowered immune systems for years now but there were recent reports of a measles outbreak in the region.

I haven't seen any increase personally, but I did see a local report a couple of days ago that there's been an unusually high amount of flu going around.

I have noticed that too.A lot of people in my immediate environment have a flue or flue like symptoms in last few months. And what is most unusual is that it lasts long, not like an ordinary flue or cold. They have a runny nose and sore throat and a fever and in few days all symptoms will gone but then suddenly it all repeats but all the symptoms are much stronger and fever goes up to 40 C, and last for at least couple more days. And when its all finally gone and the person feels fine in a week or two it all repeats. I have noticed this pattern in many people. A lot of them have blurry vision during the illness. I`m usually the one who catches all the colds and flues, but since last year when i started cold adaptation , my immunity have a significant improvement.

In General i've noticed a increase in illness. I think its due to all natural changes that occur on our planet and cosmos. All that changes ( meteorites, comets) are injecting more and more pathogens in our atmosphere.Magnetic field change also influences our bodies and all other living things in nature. Our bodies cant adopt to all this changes and increased pathogens in our environment .Food with lot of carbs, a lot of stress as Gaby says , makes our body hard to adopt to changes and that also affects our immune system.

The same thing for me. I've heard reports in this year of closing younger school on the quarantine. (I don't know if such practice take place in other countries, but it's oftentime approach in Russia to stop spreading of the flu\cold)

Last week I got a first flu that got serious development, so to speak (another past flu attempts had been failing since I started CP). That was the day I've "played a game with alcohol" which is why I think was a trigger that suppressed immune.

Added: but as far as I remember Nov\Dec of the past year was VERY illness for colleagues on my work place. Some of them had a triple-course of cold\flu.

Seems to be that flu epidemic in our country has taken a fairly major proportions. And in Serbia there were 24 deaths associated with influenza: http://hr.sott.net/article/641-Epidemija-gripe-uzrokovala-smrt-24-osobe-u-Srbiji .

Data for February showed that there were reported around 15 K patients with influenza and the number has increased since then, for sure:

I had a cold last month, and after about a week or so, I got the flu. In the end I had to take antibiotics. Many of my colleagues at work also. There are also many cases of pneumonia.

Some of the doctors I know have noticed exactly the same- they said that something strange was going on with it, because many of their patients got the flu two or three times repeatedly, in a short period of time (in a couple of weeks).

I'm on second flu since last November, but then, I am / have been surrounded by hundreds of people every day in downtown Seattle, so not all that surprising, especially when nearly everyone is sick with something, coughing / hacking, sneezing, etc.

My two friends that had a very strange influenza this year (the husband with pneumonia) told me that the doctors told them that they are astounded of how many people have the flue this year. My friend (the wife) was very sick, she said that this flue was very different from the others ones. She was so tired that she though she will die. I had a similar flue in 2010, me too I though I would die. I think it was the H1N1. The weather this year does not help at all, temperatures are like in a roller coaster. The doctors told my friends that they should take, next year, the flue vaccine!
