Just a reminder to be very circumspect, doubtful when you see the words "string theory". Seem to be a convenient way for some scientifics to have (infinite) work.

One does have to be careful too not to throw a baby out with the bath water. I know a very mainstream string theorist who agreed there is a deep relationship between a string theory worldsheet and Feynman paths. Feynman paths are closely related to good ideas like the many-worlds interpretation and lattice spacetimes.

Other string theory ideas like branes could be useful in a many-worlds lattice spacetime scenario too. Also although the superstring use of supersymmetry is not good, the general idea of supersymmetry is mentioned as a good idea in the transcripts.

String theory in its early days used to be good at looking at GUT ideas and GUTs are a good thing to look at no matter what quantum theory you are using. So out with the Gutless superstring supersymmetry M-theory multiverse landscape and in with the general supersymmetry many-worlds lattice spacetimes with GUTs (or something like that).
