Intense positive emotions

A Disturbance in the Force
Hello everyone

This message came from two different sources and I'd like to know if it could be true or not.
Our low vibratory emotions and negative emotional reactions are food, supply. But these sources suggested that both low and high intense emotions feed the system so they bascially said "no matter you are crying at a funeral or jumping with joy at a concert you are feeding the system" and while yes, concerts and festivals are a means for mass extraction of energy, it implied that no matter the context expressing intense joy or excitment would also be some kind of energy extarction and that the best stance is neutrality. Yes, neutrality is the solution to enotional reactivity, but to not allow oneself to experience intense positive emotions would make life kind of.. dull. What do you guys think? Do you remember any mentions about this in the transcripts?

The following is from the Ra material (Law of One):

Session 19
February 8, 1981

INTERROGATOR: Can you say what tendency creates the impulse toward the chosen path of self-service?

RA: I am Ra. We can only speak of it metaphorically. Some love the light; others love the darkness. It is a matter of choice made by the one and infinitely varied Creator, who picks and plays among his experiences like a child at a picnic. Some enjoy it and find the sun beautiful, the food delicious, the games refreshing, and they glow with the joy of creation. Others find the night delightful; their picnic consists of pain, hardship, the suffering of others, and an examination of the perversities of nature. These enjoy a different picnic.
All these experiences are within reach. It is the free will of each entity that chooses the form of play, the form of pleasure.

Hello Ninjacat,
I remember a phrase — not sure whether it was from C’s or Laura — along the lines of “right emotions toward the right people in the right context.”
I don’t think it’s only about the intensity of emotions themselves, but rather about the underlying orientation behind them — the thought patterns and intent (STS vs STO). Identification seems to play a role as well: whether we are unconsciously merged with an emotion or simply experiencing it consciously.
So it’s not joy or sadness per se that “feeds the system,” but unconscious reactivity, identification, and emotional charge disconnected from awareness. Neutrality helps with reactivity, yes — but conscious, appropriate, positive emotion doesn’t have to be draining or dull.
Just a few thoughts — hope this helps 🙂
