A seismic shift is underway in Ireland that may have significant ramifications way beyond its own shores.
Throughout the 100 years of the nation’s modern independent history, neutrality has been a publicly professed central platform of all Irish governments. However, post the onset of the Ukraine conflict and the Special Military Operation, this non-aligned status is now under threat. In May 2023 Tánaiste/Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence, Micheál Martin, kicked off a mini political storm by promoting a debate about the status of Ireland’s neutrality, especially as he hinted that the outcome could raise the possibility of Ireland one day joining NATO. Matters came to a head in June when Martin was heckled by anti-war demonstrators as he attempted to give his opening remarks at a government sponsored Consultative (sic) Forum on international security held at UCC in Cork, with protestors taking over and halting the meeting chanting "No to NATO" and unveiling banners which read "NATO Wars. Millions Dead". Whether this event was in some way staged or purely organic, it ensured the topic broke through into the public consciousness as an issue of impending reality for the first time.
Having consistently and proudly supported this status of neutrality by a substantial majority for decades, the mood of the populous in Ireland has shifted since 2022 with polls now suggesting that close to a majority are at least open to NATO membership whilst at the same time 60% added they wanted Ireland to maintain its current neutral status. This paradoxical result reflects the impact of wall-to-wall anti-Russian propaganda and the nervousness this has generated intermixed with the generally hitherto solid pride in neutrality. Kept in a perpetual state of ignorance about the true nature of the Irish establishment’s real loyalties and the capture of the state by US/globalist corporate and deep state interests, the level of naivety, ignorance and self-harm compliance has already been well illustrated by the massive social swing to the status of the most deeply woked country in Europe and the almost totally uniform adherence to the COVID and Ukraine narratives.
Advocates for the change point out the parlous state of Ireland’s pitiful military, so poorly funded and prioritized, that in truth the country has zero ability to independently defend itself be it on land, in the air or most importantly perhaps at sea. The fact that it has no geographical threat (other than from the UK and the USA!) never seems to warrant serious consideration.
The above pro military expansionist video (tellingly by a British blogger based in Czechoslovakia) does at least cover the superficial arguments behind the issue and raises one of the most important pressure points – the fact that Ireland is home to 30% of Europe’s internet data storage and its surrounding seas home to over 90% of the continent's deep sea data cables connecting Europe to the US. With the Russian Navy seen to have regularly entered these waters of late, and with Putin’s penchant for under water terrorism , the neo-con driven alarm bells are being rung across the continent and in Washington. This strategic Achilles heel is likely the source of much of the current pressure mounting on Ireland to ‘man up’ and more firmly embed itself within the ‘security’ of Sauron’s… I mean NATO’s protective umbrella.
The perception of Ireland’s neutrality has in truth been something of a façade for decades. As the adage goes, just look at a map. Being the geographic western most outcrop of the continent, sandwiched in between the behemoth of the US and the perfidious pathocrats in London, Ireland has long since lost control over its own choices with regard to its independence or not when greater matters are at stake. The capture of the state began early on its history, with first post-NAZI German and then new-NAZI US corporations effectively buying the country in the post war years by swapping huge inwards investment for influence. Today little, inconsequential Ireland stands 8th out of the ten highest holders of US National Debt, a $250 billion pressure point that ensures the country’s status as the fully compliant 51st state. In particular, the construction of Shannon Airport on its western shores in the 1930s and its ever-expanding importance as a stopover/refueling resource for transatlantic flights post WWII, has been at the heart of much controversy regarding Ireland’s so called neutral status. Even Wikipedia has to admit:

Tánaiste/Minister for Foreign Affairs & Minister for Defence, Micheál Martin, showing where his true loyalties lie.
The unswerving loyalty of the Dublin establishment to the New World Order crew runs very deep, and they have remained in full lockstep with the recent program ever since 2008 when the irrevocably sold out the country to the US banksters and EU centralisation programme. This trait goes back to the time when in the 1950s and 60s Ireland became home to a plethora of ex-Nazis and escaping Nazi money, and in particular the welcome and protection offered to Otto Skorzeny, the notorious ex-SS black ops specialist who with the support of the CIA, built a vast international network of shell companies and corporations out of Madrid designed to hide its real purpose – regime change, assassination and political espionage - ahead of making a strategic relocation to Ireland in 1959. There is now significant evidence to suggest that Skorzeny was the mysterious and still unmasked QJ/WIN – the CIA’s outsourced ‘Executive Order’ function i.e. assassinations, and that from the comfort of his 1,300 estate in County Kildare Skorzeny masterminded the logistical operations and international hit squads for Project Lancelot – the murder of John F Kennedy on 22nd November 1962. The dark and terrible irony of the Irish establishment’s silent complicity in the killing of their most famous son reveals much (I have attached below in x 2 PDF form the chapter from ‘Coup in Dallas’, by H.P. Albarelli which covers this matter in great detail as well as giving substantial background on the insidious Nazification of the Irish establishment starting in the 1930s).
In the 60th anniversary year of Jack’s murder, it is worth noting that this is the time when the move to officially join NATO is rearing its Hydra head. The authoritarians in control here face a problem in that their military and counter-insurgency resources are indeed comparatively pitiful – and though the population showed near total compliance during COVID, in truth they lack the boot of power they will require so as to effectively instill full spectrum obedience from the population when the time comes. If there was any country in Europe where a people-powered revolt might work in the right circumstances, it’s Ireland (hence the level of wall-to-wall state propaganda day in day out) for despite everything there remains a slumbering ancestral call to freedom that could unexpectedly reawaken should the gloves come off. The cover of Russian aggression gives them the perfect excuse to build up resources now and I expect them to press hard in the coming months for this process to pick up speed – because in the end all this anti-Russian posturing is about money and it’s about control over domestic citizenry.
There may also be something else at stake, however, namely what an increasingly desperate NATO may be led to do as a Russian victory in Ukraine edges ever nearer. If the NEOCONS get their way and the US is dragged into direct conflict with Russia – with Biden and those who back him betting his whole future on the belief that a war president won’t get booted out of office – then the Irish staging post becomes ever more crucial to any war in Europe plans. Full NATO membership may not be necessary but a public acceptance that neutrality must go is – and a Russian sourced false flag event involving offshore cables would give the perfect excuse to fast track these changes. I can even see US boots and naval resources on the ground being called for here should such an event be staged. This makes me think back to the WEF and EU Cyber exercises of the past few years in which Ireland played a significant role. The 2021 dry run false flag cyber attack on the HSE (blamed of course on Russia) looks more and more like a ground preparing exercise both for the population and for the planners with regard to where strategically such an attack in future needs to land.
So this subject warrants monitoring as things develop, hence this thread.

Shannon Airport has a history of foreign military use. A large part of its business in recent years has been military stopovers, currently almost all American... Shannon saw military transports throughout the Cold War and during the first Gulf War.
In the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, the Irish government offered the use of Shannon to the US government. When the United States invaded Iraq in 2003, the government still allowed United States Armed Forces to use the airport. This caused much controversy and was the subject of protests and a challenge brought to the High Court. As of November 2008, approximately 1.2 million troops had passed through Shannon since the beginning of the Iraq War. In 2012–2013, the military flight contracts are held by Omni Air International.
On 6 December 2005, the BBC programme Newsnight alleged that Shannon was used on at least 33 occasions by United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) flights, thought to be part of a US policy called extraordinary rendition. The New York Times reported the number to be 33, though referring to "Ireland" rather than Shannon, while Amnesty International has alleged the number of flights to be 50. Casement Aerodrome has seen similar reports. The United States and Ireland have denied these allegations. German Khaled El-Masri, who was mistakenly tortured by the CIA after being abducted by the Macedonian police, was taken to an Afghan black site by a plane which had stopped at Shannon Airport on its way to North Macedonia to pick him up. In response Amnesty International Ireland reported that "the Irish Government knew that the CIA used Shannon Airport as part of their renditions operations" and called for an independent investigation into the use of Shannon Airport for extraordinary renditions operation by the USA.
