Now that aim has been achieved, Syria may well descend into the type of chaos and factional infighting that occurred in Libya with the toppling of Ghaddafi. We shall see. This situation might in the short term be favourable to Israel but this could quickly change. I would certainly be concerned for the minority Druze and Christian communities though.
