It doesn’t make sense to me and I wonder if there’s some kind of nefarious plan behind it all to make Australia a target as it causes ripples with USA as well.I was surprised at Albanese's (Australia's Prime Minister) support of Palestine. Something didn't quite gel about it for me given his other actions. Was talking to a work mate about it and he pointed out that Albanese has supported Palestinians for 30 odd years and stuck to his guns over the situation. I'd started to wonder whether that all meant that perhaps Albanese was not on the 'payroll' and that he was just an airhead with his other political actions and beliefs. Then I listened to his UN speech on the Gaza situation and come away with the impression that he actually supports Israel but speaks about it in terms of support of Palestine. He speaks for a two state solution, but seems to think that can happen with Hamas handing over their weapons and giving back the hostages. He doesn't seem to propose any limitations on Israeli actions. In other words his solution seems to rely on Hamas and Palestinians behaving better under hostile occupation. To my mind it's not really a supportive solution for the Palestinians.

The plan envisions Gaza as a “deradicalized, terror-free zone,” with Hamas excluded from governance. Hamas members who disarm would receive amnesty, while the enclave would be placed under “temporary transitional governance” led by a “technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee” managing services and municipalities. The committee would answer to a “Board of Peace” chaired by Trump, which would oversee funding and reconstruction until the Palestinian Authority carries out reforms to assume control.
People are making the observation that the last time this happened Iran was bombed a few days later.
So did Netanyahu agree to a peace plan in Gaza in exchange for the US aiding in a definitive blow to Iran?
People overestimate their leaders willingness and ability to quickly negotiate and enforce diplomatic solutions to regional conflicts, anywhere. So did Netanyahu agree to a peace plan in Gaza in exchange for the US aiding in a definitive blow to Iran? Which is not to say that we will actually see peace in Gaza. The Israelis can't be trusted for that.
Netanyahu has said that the Israeli forces will remain in most parts of the Gaza Strip under the Trump's plan, after Trump gave ultimatum to Hamas to accept the US occupation of Gaza. Meanwhile, Hamas rejects Trump's plan. The Trump's plan for Gaza actually is "Governorate under US control", which means that the Palestinian state would never be established.
Trump is just talking to the public about his great meeting with Netanyahu. Unsurprisingly it is a total inversion of reality. Didn’t watch all but what I heard was enough for me.
Australia seems to be controlled by the globalist faction, just like most of the EU, UK and Canada. For whatever reason, the globalists are pushing back against the zionists or Israel/Mossad. My guess is that these are pretty much the two most powerful factions in the world and they seem to be having a power struggle behind the scenes.I was surprised at Albanese's (Australia's Prime Minister) support of Palestine. Something didn't quite gel about it for me given his other actions.
Whether the words were his own or slipped to him by a White House aide is up for debate. What’s striking is the optics: Trump put Netanyahu in a position of being dictated to. Netanyahu has his head lowered, presumably spelling words of regret and making assurances under the US President’s hawk-like gaze.
Was Benjamin Netanyahu reading from a script when he apologised to Qatar? That’s the question buzzing after the White House released a black-and-white photo showing US President Donald Trump holding the phone while the Israeli Prime Minister appears to read from a sheet of paper.
The Israeli strike on Doha killed five people, among them the son of senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya. Trump, who initially claimed to have no prior knowledge of the attack, was reportedly furious with Netanyahu for acting unilaterally.
For Trump, it was a small but powerful display of leverage — forcing the Israeli leader into a posture of humility rarely seen in public.
The apology also served a practical purpose. Qatar had been drifting away from mediation efforts after the Doha strike. By compelling Netanyahu to say sorry, Trump may have been trying to repair that rupture and rebuild trust needed to bring Qatar back to the table.
The image of Trump gripping the phone in his lap while Netanyahu hunches over his papers is a telling sign of who’s the boss.
Why is the phone on Trump's lap? Very weird optics.J. D. and Pete on the scene! Rubio too, sandwiched between.
