I spent some time in this area in the nineties and between the cycling from midnight sun to permanent dusk over the seasons to the throbbing Aurora Borealis engulfing the entire sky there is a perpetually clear view of a night sky that can swallow your eyes.

Another interesting anomaly in this area is the “World’s Smallest Desert “.
Standing on the Dunes looking down on the tall tree tops of the forest they are consuming is quite surreal.
The view down to the glacier gives the impression that something quite intense had happened there in the distant past.
