What is really interesting about this? Is that they have used the myth of Argentina as a Nazi haven to distract from the fact that it was not very different from the paper clip operation, that many more Nazis ended up in the United States and that some of them, after the war, ended up in NATO.

Milei's election and support for him are a response to the weariness of progressive policies perceived as the cause of the country's current misery. It's not that the majority of his voters are as crazy as he is.
 
As far as I can tell from talking to friends and family, nobody likes him, and they are really against supporting Israel (and Ukraine). But Milei is SO nuts, he's going ahead anyway. Iran the enemy?? Everyone knows by now that the attacks were false-flags.

I sometimes think that Israel is still keeping Argentina (and probably Paraguay) as their next "exile destination" if things were to go very badly in the Middle East (and after using Israelis as human shields). That direct flight from and to Tel-Aviv, and all the deals in territories that are scarcely populated, makes it possible that Argentina and parts of South America could be their escape. And Milei would welcome them with a red carpet. It is "ironic" that that was also the refuge and escape of so many Nazis... but people will probably ignore the irony.
