True, but towards the very end, Megan does say, and even stressed, that there is a difference between a 15 year old and a five year old - her words. The girl's point was that even a 15 year old is still a child even if they appear to be "legal". Incredible that a child needed to assert this to the adults involved in this discussion.

What Megyn says is objectively true, although I think it probably shouldn't have been said in the context of the discussion. Not the most tactful thing to say, but that teenager's response was an overreaction IMO. She's going after the wrong person. I don't see what Megyn said as meaning a 15yo isn't still a child. She didn't "need" to assert anything cuz Megyn would agree with her.

Some people may suspect Megyn is trying to "soften" up what is going to be the impact of the Epstein files by trying to 'normalise' pedophilia, sex trafficking and exploitation of older children - as opposed to that of younger children.

The implication being that 'it's not as bad because the children have passed pubity'.

Community attitudes at the moment towards ANYONE trying to do seem very hostile and unforgiving. She needs to be careful what she says (implies), how she says it, and whom she's speaking for (i.e. who pays her)....

The overall mood of the American Public is very, very angry. There's a posibility that they will interpret what Megyn is saying as making excuses for pedophiles in power. At least, that's how I read it.
