The Living Force
I'm always pleased when a politician demonstrates the active degradation of their mental faculties. It's like the toll lying takes being displayed in real time... the latest incidence was John McCain asking Comey questions about Hillary and Trump and Russia, seemingly he can't keep much straight or even ask a clear question.

Most of the WP piece is typical, hitting on the talking points, Russia-Trump yada yada... and the author did their part to defend Hillary's email scandal. At the end, the piece was updated with McCain's statement on the matter which read:
I can imagine his people being like: "What shall we say about this? He totally fumbled the ball..."
"Well, what would fuddle a normal person's mind?"
"Lack of sleep, that's what we use on all our torture victims..."
"Ah, there we go. Normal people also watch sports, right? So let's combine the two!"
"Brilliant."

McCain later released a statement, joking that “maybe going forward I shouldn’t stay up late watching the Diamondbacks night games.”
The rest of the statement reads:
What I was trying to get at was whether Mr. Comey believes that any of his interactions with the President rise to the level of obstruction of justice. In the case of Secretary Clinton’s emails, Mr. Comey was willing to step beyond his role as an investigator and state his belief about what ‘no reasonable prosecutor’ would conclude about the evidence. I wanted Mr. Comey to apply the same approach to the key question surrounding his interactions with President Trump — whether or not the President’s conduct constitutes obstruction of justice. While I missed an opportunity in today’s hearing, I still believe this question is important, and I intend to submit it in writing to Mr. Comey for the record.
