Hi all,
Very sorry if I am out of line one way or another by asking this here. But i have this major leg cramp in my quadriceps. Right at the origin of the muscle it seems, the upper side. It's almost non-stop! Except when I laydown and put my leg a certain way. 4 days in a row!
Backround:
I have been doing atkins induction for weightloss for 7 months. Everything went fine. I lost almost 40 pounds. But since a week i changed it to the Keto diet. And I cut out the Dairy ( cream cheese and butter)
I eat 400 grams of cucumber ( 12 netcarbs) and proteine about 60%..and 4 egg yolkes with 2 slices of bacon in the morning. ( i am trying to read up on the keto diet) i will start to vary my veggies and eat more carbs then 20. But i am in a lot of pain and i have a handicapped baby girl to take care of so i am getting a little disturbed to say the least!
so i understand it's de-hydration and out of balance electrolytes.
So I am supplementing/drinking/taking daily: One glass with 5+ gr seasalt; 1 gr calcium; 800 mg magnesium; 1 gr Potassium ( pills or part fresh coco water)
Besides this: 1 multi Centrum adult; b100; c, q10; chromium polyNICOTInate; zinc; P5p; omega 3; l-carnitine, 1 gr Taurine
My questions are besides the obvious How do I get rid of this *** leg cramps:
1: How much salt can i take max a day? More than 10?
2: how much water i am supposed to drink on Keto? I am 5f 6inch and weigh 143 pounds. Normally 2.5 liter
3: i hope to check my electrolytes this afternoon in a medical center. Any electrolyte in particular?
I dont want to go to my physician because she will be against keto diet.
Please help. I can hardly walk.
Thanks in advance!

. But I must also say that you should read the information about the ketogenic diet before any changes are done.
