Ketogenic diet for kids and babies???

I was also a vegetarian until I realized I was pregnant. I owe my son the best nutrition there is, that's why I hang out with you. :)I was thinking a lot as I do, and I feel guilt often when I don't do something right, so the fact is that the missunderstandings I have with other people about diet etc. are respond of me being not respectful to others as I should be, you know in a way of -you get what you deserve. So I'm working on that and I'm reading what 's new here and trying to do it myself.

I’ve taken my son off dairy and grains recently, he’s not keto (step too far for my wife) as he eats fruit, but even this is a lot better than eating all that crap. Well, now my wife is getting concerned with the lack of calcium. What’s the verdict on that? She’s also finding some research about dairy fed kids living on farms being less prone to allergies. I don’t see a lot being discussed about this, especially not about kids. My son is close to 21 months old now. Any suggestions for specific research I can look into and sources of calcium I can add to avoid having to let my wife feed him dairy? Thanks

Hi Revolucionar you can take a look at Sott's articles on health where you can find more information about milk consumption,
Why you should stop drinking cow's milk -- Sott.net they also have the articles in croatian language.

A buckwheat base as a substitute for cereals is a great option, I use it since my daughter started solid food and she is doing amazing in terms of health and her immune system.
You also have the option of using supplements, I do it with my daughter, Iodine, Vit. D3- B-12, Vit. C, even melatonin, only of course you have to be careful to give your child the right amounts.

If you feel you have big differences in eating habits with your wife, maybe, just an idea to mention, you could try to cook for her and your son including Keto ingredients, an appetizing recipe, maybe she will be encouraged to try. :-)
