I've also suffered from constipation all my life since childhood. Many in our family on the maternal side have this problem.Thank you all! I have dealt with internal constipation pretty much my whole life so it’s a bit concerning not going as often now. But I think it looks good! lol.
It’s just a little weird to not feel “light” but it’s not something that gets in the way at all. It doesn’t feel like a detriment. But I will have to keep monitoring this; especially after the magnesium.
When I tried the keto diet 4 years ago, this problem worsened. Even after returning to a regular diet, I couldn't get a normal stool back for several more years. Every day was a challenge. I tried different remedies - I drank the mucus from brewing Linen, I used lactulose. It helped for a while, but then it stopped.
Everything changed when I started using Magnesium citrate. The most important thing here is to choose the necessary effective dose. For me, this is 2 grams of citrate powder (it is cheaper to buy in powder than in capsules), which contains the minimum daily dose of pure magnesium - 400 mg. I drink it at night and have a stool in the morning.
When I returned to the paleo diet, I was most afraid that I would not have a stool. But there is no problem with magnesium, everything is fine.
I also drink Boron, vitamin D and K2, along with magnesium citrate, which helps to remove oxalates, normalizes calcium metabolism, removing excess calcium from tissues.
