Kevin Barrett On Psychopathy

Looking back through history, the same situation occurs over and over - the Psychopathic minority always manipulates the normal majority, and they never get caught. Every case is seen in isolation - an evil dictator, a cruel or mad tyrant, on and on and on.

But why don't we ever wise up? It's as if most of us have a block of some sort, a filter that prevents the obvious from showing up. There is a huge blind spot. We always buy the stories, the religious dogma, the absurd explanations.
Yes, thats how the world is, even if you don't like it. People are mostly like machines, doing things they like and are blind to what they don't like.

So IMHO, maybe we don't need a way to "spot" Psychopaths - we need a way to "spot" a contagion - be it a person, a news story, a scriptural "truth". If we could only detect lies and and manipulation, the source would be
obvious.
It doesn't make sense what you write here. It seems that you also have this blind spot. So if I translate what you say here:

- We should NOT spot psychopaths or such behavior. Something that was and is thoroughly analyzed and described for everybody to learn and understand. It will give foreseeable results for those willing to learn and apply what they have learned about it.

- We should "spot (a) contagion". This is something not yet defined. There is no analysis and description what it does and can.
Sorry tendrini but this sounds like a psychopathic suggestion.

By the way, to spot lies and manipulation, you think we can not, you have to know where the probability is the highest to be exposed to them. And if you have learned about psychopaths, you know that they love to lie and manipulate. So it is obvious to detect the psychopaths or such behavior and then you may detect the lies and it's effects.

It makes no sense to separate the lie from the liar, or the manipulation from the manipulator. You can't analyze the lie while ignoring the source - the liar. Similarly, you can't study evil by studying just the "evil act" and ignoring the "evil doer". You won't have an objective understanding then, because what psychopaths do is a direct result of what and who they are, and you need to understand both in order to really understand what is going on and why.

Hello everyone and thanks for the responses. I admit my logic may not be the best in what I said about the need to "spot" Psychopaths.

I'll try and do better: Rather than focus on the Psychopaths alone we should see ourselves in a host-parasite situation. From what I know, Psychopaths behave in predictable ways, much like viruses. We, as the hosts, however, seem defenceless.

until we close gaps in our field of awareness by applying knowledge pre-chewed by sott and ALSO by sweeting through additional info ourselves... It's up to us if we give viruses a chance or we refuse to
