I haven't seen the movie , so I don't know how the movie is, but the story behind the movie is rather entertaining. Probably the reflection of state of affairs in the country's spiritual scene.

I just watched this movie from this thread. http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,34223.msg479164.html#msg479164

Very thought provoking.

Some parts of this movie are very funny. Especially the ones with people really feeling a "energy connection". Or his invented positions and chants. On the other side it is so sad to see people blindly following someone because they crave for more(than just usual materialistic way of living) in their lives.

Yeah, the gullibility and lack of critical thinking was sad to see.

That, and the cognitive didissonance, and wishful thinking. What got me was the couple of people that still think he has powers.

I agree. It was a bit of fun and really sad to watch as already stated, but these people were also lucky that they met Vikram and not somebody else. So it seems easy to dupe someone if you like to and a "guru" mainly lives then from the projection of others.

I found an interesting clip about "guru" tricksters in India, and how they do their magical acts:
