Kung Fu Panda 2

Gimpy

The Living Force
This is another movie that really doesn't need 3D. Its beautifully done animation. It builds on the first movie well, and I thought it was good family entertainment.

If you get a chance to see it, go.

Why?

I'm watching the first one, so I can't speak for the 2nd one. But it has some interesting characters. The Panda (Jack Black) is plagued by a negative introject, his kung-fu master is obsessed with control, which he has to learn to let go of, and the old turtle sensei sometimes comes up with wise sayings. 'Yesterday was history, tomorrow's a mystery, and today is a gift, that's why it's the present' :D

Its about finding out who you are, as opposed to what you thought you were, and discovering both notions are false: who/what you are is a culmination of what you've paid attention to, and even then, Life points out something completely different....

Last night I was just too tired to find those words, sorry m. ;)

I saw the first one and I loved it, even though I'm not a fan of Jack Black. I liked the story and it was quite funny too. I'm definitely watching the second one at some point. :ninja:

Me too :headbanger: (except I actually do like Jack Black :P)

I'm glad to hear that this movie (sequel) wasn't bad, like most sequels usually are.

3D are movies saving grace now by "adding value" and also adding dollars to their bottom line.

It's basically an excuse to charge more, it really doesn't add too much to most movies from the ones I have seen.

Went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 with the kids over the weekend, and every one of us loved it! It is really funny!

And there are some intense moments of sadness as well... (I cried!)

Without telling too much, in the end, the "bad guy" portrays the bottomless pit of unfulfilled needs and desires, and Po, portrays a life of fulfillment! Ying and Yang!
