They say that humour is the antidote for stress. So, a moment of MIRTH for everyone. (My drawings of newborns.)

Those are awesome New Orleans.

Has anyone except me noticed that newborns, especially right after being born, look like ET from the movie?

Thanks New Orleans. They are wonderful. I like the strokes are they pen or digital?

the ones who are born the through the birth canal hehe look like little wrinkly cone heads and funky. Now C section babies look so pretty, too bad that they miss out on pro-biotics and other benefits we may not know.

Thanks for sharing, NewOrleans, this is very creative, made me laugh for sure!
These drawings are ,,concrete humoristic'' !

You think so? I was just starting to think that these were kind of bizarre and unhumorous. I had this realization this morning that I was glimpsing a huge blind spot in myself. That impulsive program to want to make people like me by being talented or funny. It's there clearly. LOL. Self-observation is like a bear trap sometimes when you step in it. Oh well, laughter is good too. These were all sketched from real newborn pictures and the facial expressions were just so seriously funny.

Babies are very expressive, like yours. If we just were able to read their expressions, like you did, how much we will be able to understand these new born. I am always fascinated by their faces, grimaces, expressions. And yes, they look like extraterrestrials, because they are coming from another world, in fact. A world of silence and water, of quietude and peace....

 loreta,

That's where i was going with my comment. It is so blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes to see, that they are literally explorers from another world, and therefore so are we. That's why everything is so fascinating to them, and why it is so fascinating to watch them grow and develop. They explore this realm the way we ought to, without any prejudice. It is up to their guardians to furnish them with the appropriate tools so that they may explore safely, osit.

That's why I can not conceive when someone abuse children and babies, the most beautiful thing in this world...

I may have some urge to draw some new born babies of my own now. These little ones are full of expression and to be honest, when i first took a look at the drawings, the first three rows reminded me of Larry, Curly, and Moe from the Three Stooges! Talented sketching there, NewOrleans. But have you considered some sculputres of babies faces... or some kind of red clay version? - now that would be seriously funny since they're even more bizzare looking fresh out the 'oven'.

Oddly enough, in the sources where I found these photos of newborns, all had peculiar, almost adult-like expressions. Extraterrestrials? Maybe we all are at first. I just drew them as is. But, much later, realized few had beatific little faces. Maybe it was merely the editing process of selection. Most uncomfortable little expressions - bless them all. What I wrote beneath each was meant to be a newbies reaction to esoteric information. I didn't mean for it to be negative, but humorous and quizzical.

As for sculpture, CelticWarrior, I don't think so, but thanks for asking. That would be fun! I have my hands full right now.
