I agree, this is something I've been imagining quite often. Congratulations and thanks for sharing your story, Flashgordonv. :)

OK, here are some of the promised photos.

I haven't got around to taking pictures of the pigs yet, but that will come soon.

Finally we are near the water here. Yesterday I got to go out on a boat fishing

we got some nice snapper. However most of the time I will be surf fishing from the beach about 10 minutes from the property.

I will post more pics as they come to hand.

Congratulations Flashgordonv of your new life. Glad every thing worked out well :)

Well done Flashgordonv from a New Zealander from the north. I grew up in the very far north and know the area well. You have a great spot around Mangawahi and your views are stunning! I did similar after having some life changing moments in my work with several psychopaths....yes eventually I was constructively dismissed and saw this opportunity to sell up and come to the UK to find my roots. After the "dismissal" friends urged me to take up a legal case against my boss but half way through it broke me mentally and I called it off. It was the best decision I made as it enabled me to get on with healing and to move on.

Now I have found myself, found my soulmate, and discovered sottnet (through him) and for once my life is starting to make sense.

I love to hear of others doing similar.

It often takes a profound happening and a lot of chaos to make change for the best.

Eventually I will return to Aotearoa (Land of the Long White Cloud) with my English partner as I have two grown up daughters there.

Best wishes from French Marigold

Awesome pics Flashgordonv. Very inspiring. I hope to make the same life changes one day.
