Logic or sociopathic??

The Force is Strong With This One
Hello,

I was searching for information about psychopaths and found this site. I had a question concerning a person's behavior and whether it is most likely the person being logical..or something else. I have a close friend whose husband is having an affair. He told her that he married her....(12 years ago) not out of love but because he wanted to get married. He told her he had thought of ending their relationship several times but didnt. He said he has been living a lie his whole marriage...and didnt want to do anything to lose his children.
I might add that this couple has rarely ever had arguments in their marriage. The husband has told my friend that he is in love for the first time now. He told her he feels "bad" but is not sorry nor does he have any remorse for what he did/is doing. I know that in his early twenties he had stolen a few things but was never caught for it. I was looking for some objective insight and was hoping for some help here. Thank you

Hi Loth,

I see that you're new here. PepperFritz will probably ask you to give a brief introduction of yourself in the newbies section soon, so you might want to consider that before diving into the material on here.

As far as your question goes, there seems to be too little detail to make the assertion that your friend's husband is actually a psychopath. I, myself, was living a lie thinking I was in love with my former wife. Although the relationship remained monogamous, it was still difficult to end it when that time came. Have you considered the possibility that your friend's husband might be very confused right now? Typically a psychopath would not be concerned over losing his or her children - which it sounds like this guy does. That might tell you something. Not having all the facts, it is hard to tell. In any case, why are you asking this for your friend instead of her asking and seeking these answers directly? I'm just curious.

Welcome to the forum!

Ryan

Loth,

Use the search functions. There are lots of threads on psychopathy and narcissism to get you started on this topic. :)

He is "sociopath" - psychoneurotic character, most probably, who is by the Spirit on A influences, speaking the Truth. First he had a wife he does not like but he was satisfying his "manifestation of Lucifer" or his Superego placed in lower intellectual center (I should get my self a wife,...a.k.a.Top dog, Parent program in head, Social programs, etc) and other manifetations of Devil or his Id (I will be safe, I will get pleasure, etc..a.k.a Underdog, Child, repressed emotions, repressed sexuality,) in side of lower emotional centar. Then he was in certian balans between his centers and Personality. Personality was First Force (3 if active 6 if passive), Personality on his Wife Second force (6 if passive 3 if active, numbers depend on nature of Octave of their relationship), and Third force was Spirit (9) who was holding them for 12 years (this number is significant) and how when Time of Holy Spirit is quite near he starts to show him self in his manifestation. Till how he was "invisible" but how he is becoming manifested in every form. Result is - cleaning the Devils outside of the closet, and his means, by itself, that he was shocked by holy Spirit (9) and thus his Devil come outside to his ex-wife by admitting the Truth (9) instead of giving automatically Lucifer - SuperEgo/Parent/TopDog (3-6) he gave the Insights of Holy Spirit by probably higher centars, and then he probably found new The One - archetypal women who has the same Truth (9) dynamics in order to merge in to The One - Eternal Wisdom and Eternal Love, and then, with suffering that Holy Spirit brings, once merged by receiving Sacrament of Holy Matrimony they will come back to One and Only Absolute One - the God. So now he is receiving blessing of Holy Ghost since it is the time of Holy Spirit is in bloom - The Birth of Phoenix - The Holy Bird - The Holy Spirit - The One and Only Absolute One. Is Beelzebub satisfied?

Vladimir, was there a point to this post or was the intention behind it in jest? If the later, then this seems lacking in external consideration towards Loth's question. If somebody really is suffering and looking for answers, then this seems a bit rude. Maybe I'm just not understanding your post.

Thank you for the replies. I will search the board for more information :)

"In any case, why are you asking this for your friend instead of her asking and seeking these answers directly? I'm just curious."
she is seeking however she is very religious and is very narrow minded in her searching.

thank you for your posts!

I'm need to apologize if I'm "rude" - but he asked a objective view - and this is as far as I can go and this is my point. If he seeks a
objective view - I will do my best, if I can suffer to do so, to give it. I didn't want to answer the post, but then when I saw "objective"
I really didn't want to write since "I'm not capable for objective view" - since this is one of the Seven Deadly Sins, I said smth like
"ok then I will suffer consciously" and instead reacting automatically I will try my best to do write objective view, and I can do soo,
only if Holy Spirit aloud to do so - and I believe He Did. If you think that my post is inappropriate admins have the Choice to do so.
Or maybe - as you said- you didn't understand this post, so I believe I did a right thing since the one of the main topics of this forum is
how to react with awareness. Again, if admins think that this in not ok, they have Choice to delete my post, or even to ban me if they
wish to do so. I will comply to your wishes - even if it means that I, from now on - I will write my posts by reacting automatically.
I have learned alot from C's, Laura, Ark, as well as from other members of this forum like you and others. I consider this forum
on of the most valid ones that has high consistency in Objective Truth thnx to great work of admins, and specially effort of Anart
from how I learned how to behave here properly. Or maybe, I'm just  - this what my Tarot is saying to me.
Question is who can Judge? - and to add - I will obey your conclusion. But, let leave this from some other place since this is offtopic now.

Hi Loth,

Welcome to this forum.

Be conscious that it is very difficult to say for sure if a person is a psychopath or not. You must have the expertise to be able to say so.

The best thing is to gain knowledge about this kind of person. As mentionned, you can find quite a lot of information on this site in using the search fucntion.

Moreover, you have in the recommended books some very good books.

In the Psychology section, you will find some books which coulp help you quite a lot to increase your knowledge in that area.

Here's some of them:

Psychology

Mask of Sanity - Hervey Cleckley
In Sheep's Clothing - George K. Simon
Myth of Sanity - Martha Stout
Sociopath Next Door - Martha Stout
Without Conscience - Robert Hare
Snakes in Suits - Robert Hare and Paul Babiak
Predators - Anna Salter
Political Ponerology - Andrzej Lobaczewski

Vladimir, just so you can get some perspective on what you wrote below about 'sociopath' - it was the biggest pile of meaningless word salad that I have read in a very, very long time. I'm not trying to be harsh, but it appears that several of your latest posts have spun out into pure inner-consideration and making statements as if they are fact, when they could not be farther from fact.

If you could please employ external consideration and remember to QUESTION your own thoughts and understandings, then you might avoid in the future what you have done here in this thread.

As far as the '7 deadly sins' - what are you talking about?? Also, leaving it up to the admins to remove your post is also inner-considering. You are not a child to be cleaned up after. As far as relying on your tarot to define what you are or are not - have you really learned a lot from us here? It would seem not.

I realize this will seem harsh to you and that is not my intent. My intent is to make it very clear to you that you are wandering off into severe subjectivity, inner-considering and posting without thought or understanding in such a way that you might actually be doing damage to those who post here sincerely asking for advice. Please re-read that - you might be doing DAMAGE to others. Please - for your own benefit and the benefit of this forum - think before you post and refrain from posting whatever comes into your mind as if it is the truth.

Ok, so your post wasn't in jest then. In that case I didn't understand it and neither did anybody else it appears. Do you realize that the original question related to psychopathology and not the 4th way teachings or any of the other ideas you cited in your post? I realize there is some overlap in these areas of knowledge, but part of external consideration is to respond in an way appropriate to the level of being and knowledge of the person asking the question.

Without seeing an introduction from Loft it's impossible to tell if he has even read Mouravieff or any other esoteric books yet, so he may have no frame of reference to even understand the words and phrases you are describing.

Vladimir, I'm just wondering if you were planning on responding to this post? I see you've posted to other threads in the mean time, thus my curiosity.

to add to that point, even professionals who deal with psychopaths every day get taken in by them, as described by Robert Hare PhD, I think, in one of his books.

As you teach me, maybe it is possible that your curiosity will be your cure.

Vladimir, once again you show your lack of external consideration, Why don't you clarify what do you mean by "as you teach me", has it become something personal with Anart?, you are just being unable to see beyond your nose, unable to understand that there are many persons reading this forum interested in learning, putting energy to try to comprehend you, so please take us into acount if you are able ..

I asked you a sincere question and this is your response. Perhaps it's time for you to move along to another forum, since you are obviously not interested in participating in this forum sincerely.
