I do like pretty much reading Mafalda… it’s a comic strip by Quino, although written in the 60-70`s, to me reflects many circunstances to the current life, its about politics, peace, world classes, mundane things, etc… other works by Quino are really good too. Too bad it has a copyright …I believe I am not allow to put some examples here. Have not found pics on the web in english though…

Official Site of Quino:
http://www.quino.com.ar/ingles/quino_bio70.htm
and from Wikipedia:

PS About copyright laws, can I put some quotes from the comic strips here?...there are many really ones…

Hey mabar,

I did a search and found a few: _http://images.google.be/images?hl=en&q=mafalda+in+english&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=hUGrS4iFBoX0-Qbsmpy2DQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CCEQsAQwAw

Some of them are pretty funny - the political ones.

I used to read them everyday in the newspaper, there are very good ones. Quino has also other comics, other than Mafalda I do believe. I remember seeing some critics about working conditions, bad treatment of employees, etc.

Mafalda has always been my favorite cartoon. She is so bright and funny! I've read all the series a couple of times. It is such a healthy humor and so spot on in the political and sociological analysis. I believe Quino was censured for a while during some of the dictatorship years in Argentina and other South American countries. It was just too offensive (and true) for some...

Mabar, I think that as long as you share the link, there are no copy right issues.
