Major internet outage impacts websites and apps around the world

On this latest outage, Shopify is a major partner of Cloudflare and its usage and adoption is growing in eCommerce. I wont be surprised if a lot of retail websites are experiencing issues at the moment which impacts trade therefore a decent hit to the $$$$ and GDP, given Holidays season is nearing.

I wonder if this is how the PTB will attempt their "global cyber attack," i.e. by simply making major sites unreachable. If you knock down the only bridge leading to a village, the whole village suddenly becomes isolated—there's no need to directly attack the villagers, as they are no more part of the "network"!
