I've been very much into his music some time ago, but kind of forgotten about him for the last few years. So this thread came as a wonderful surprise and reminder. ;D
I remember loving his version of
Flight of the Bumblebee released on his first album
The Piano Player, but as I can now see, that was a widespread impression.

Also, for my 25th birthday, my wife (at that time still girlfriend) bought us tickets for Maksim's outdoor concert. I was delighted with his performance under clear starry sky. This present has remained one of my best and most memorable ones till the present-day.
