Matrix within Matrix

Seems to me that these computer games, especially the action shoot 'em up games, encourage a perversion of the moving centre. The 'victims' (for want of a better word - actually 'participants', but from my point of view they seem like victims!) sit glued to their screen, making virtual characters move, and are so identified with the on-screen action they think they themselves are moving, when nothing of the sort is happening. At least with sport, which is often another distraction, one has a chance to connect directly with the moving centre and experience its action in real life. A virtual moving centre? Dangerous, methinks, and easily programmed.

Hmmmm. Well there's a great insight. What better way to program people than to have them locked into a virtual reality. Here I was thinking of just keeping the people asleep. But with this programming potential, there is no end to what could be done.
